Tony
Hi again, I ordered a show bowl (and Ice bucket) from hookah-shisha in hopes of adjusting the "draw" and body a bit more to what i'm accustomed to (cigar smoker). Supposedly the show bowl has only 3 holes and a bit deeper then other bowls which kind of led me to believe I might be able to pack it a bit tighter. I dunno... does anyone have any comments on it? Thanks in advance, Tony
Tony
Yeah, I see what you mean... so basically the "show bowl" is just for show... I shoulda checked here before I bought the stuff... oh well.. Thanks for the reply.
mushrat
Oh don't get me wrong, it'll probably smoke just great...just won't be any different than a similar capacity bowl.... So now you'll have form and function...
steve07
Like I said in one of the other treads hookah smoking is alot different than cigar or pipe smoking you almost have to retrain your mind. I also am a cigar and pipe smoker. Just my obsevation good luck
steve07
I personally have 2 different size bowls because I have a bad habit of filling them any way
Tony
Also if you add more water in the base that will help give you that draw you are looking for.
I noticed this... I had filled the base up about half way initially then the next time almost all the way and the draw seemed a little tighter. But like the fellow said, its not the same ritual or experience so I have to get used to something different I suppose... I'll let you all know how the Show Bowl works out. Lukasa
I have recently started using a much shallower and smaller bowl. I had been using a "mod bowl" that held like 20 grams of shisha. I'm liking the shallower bowl much better. its very efficient. I'd imagine if you pack any bowl tight enough you'll get a cigar pull.
Tony
-Let me know how the bowl works out (one more tip: if the bottom of the bowl is too narrow for your hookah then use a napkin in place of a bowl grommet and you will have no worries)
Hey thanks for the tip man... do you think i'll have trouble making this bowl fit by chance? Tony
I installed mine last night.. big difference from the bowl I had on there actually. I was able to mess around with the packing and get a descent draw with it.
