I bought a box of it before, and go "yuck this taste like shit" and threw it out. a few weeks later, i was all out of shisha, and the only shop open only had jewel, and it was only $2, so i was like "what the hell, better than nothing." I was wrong, got it back and damn it was gross, threw it out as well. The only thing jewel has going for them is they give you free mouthtips. Beyond that, i would rather smoke nothing than to smoke that shit again. I'm actually ok with HH myself, though, so i cant bash you on that, its water content is high, and its not great stuff, but its not the worst either.I didn't realize that was a fake QT until someone pointed it out and i looked again at the jar...damn, that was a good impersonation. I have a beverage mart place next door to the hookah lounge next door to my apartments that sells alcohol and tobacco and also randomly has a post office in the back of it... I go to the place for shipping packages out. Well, when I sold my KM I was shipping it there and he asked what was so big in the package. I told him a hookah and he lit up and said he didn't carry shisha because the hookah lounge owner next door fusses at him for it but he did have some in the back that the cigar company he has a contract with sent him... He showed it to me- it was Jewel. He wanted $2.99 for 50g and $16.99 for 250g. Glad I didn't take it. I told him if he ever starts carrying Nakhla or Al Fakher to let me know. He said he'd look into it.there must be something with cigar shops and Jewel. a local cigar place had an ad in our university newspaper about having hookah stuff so i decided to drop by. all they had was a selection of jewel and pharaohs and a few sahara smoke pipes. i hadn't really heard anything about it so i threw away like 6 bucks and bought 3 50g packs. i smoked the grape for 15 minutes, smelled the rest and threw them all away. i should have known that tobacco with high fructose corn syrup in it was a bad idea.
