DistortedTruth
Okay, so I know a lot of my posts are about acclimation, lol. But I just got OG Tangiers Orange Soda from my g/f (yes, she's that awesome), and I've only smoked Lucid before. I'm wondering if you can acclimate outside in the cold, like during the late Fall/Winter time. I don't want to just acclimate a bowl because I don't know when I will smoke it. Is it possible to put all 250g in a container and acclimate it outside during the day time, or even overnight? Help pleaseeeee...so excited, but don't want to ruin this one!Oh, and speaking of OG Tangiers...does it really knock you on your ass the first time around? When a storm comes and the humidity goes crazy it causes serious problems, and it's impossible to smoke during snowstorms. Being inside gives you a bit of leeway when it comes to acclimation. You would have to smoke inside too, of course.

Zinite
It might be worth trying to acclimate it inside even if you're going to smoke it outside. I know that people say to acclimate it where you smoke, but I haven't had trouble acclimating it inside and smoking it outside.

I then tried acclimating outside, smoking outside, but that failed miserably! Try out the inside/outside method, it may work for you!

I just have to find a place I can put it in the house so that the smell won't circulate all throughout it. It gives my mom a headache, lol. Ideas? Maybe put it next to my basement door with the door cracked open slightly?

Hookie The Hookah
Just try finding a place in your house to acclimate it. If you are able to get it to smell good (assuming it doesn't smell good already) then try taking it outside for a bit. If it retains that good smell you're good to go. If not back to the drawing board. I have had no trouble acclimating indoors and then smoking outdoors. It's at least worth a shot.

r1v3th3ad
I acclimate it winter time indoors in about 70f temp...and go outside in around 10-20f temp to smoke...no problems at all, bowl still smokes beautifully
DistortedTruth
Arcane told me in chat it shouldn't be a problem to just leave it outside. So I shall do that. Though I really don't think acclimating indoors and smoking outdoors would be that bad.
Arcane
yep, i'd just put a screen or something over it to avoid having stuff fall in it....its not so much bugs, since nicotine is an insect repellant anyways...but moreso, leaves, dust, giraffes...stuff like that... Click
I'm not positive, but I assume it will be getting colder than the freezing point where you are. So if you leave the tobacco outside to acclimate in below freezing temperature wouldn't that freeze the water content on the shisha? It's different from what Rivethead since he acclimates inside and brings it outside to the below freezing temperature, but the coals keep the shisha from ever going below freezing temp.Does that make any sense? Probably have to wait for Eric to chime in.
Hookah S Moka
yup, id also agree, its not an acclimation issue, its in how the bowl is packed.....

Arcane
depends, if the tobacco actually smells right and the smell is strong enough to fill up a small-medium sized room...it should be fully acclimated...if you move it to a new location and that smell turns to bbq/soy sauce/ass berries...then it suffered humidity shock and you'll have to get it to re-acclimate in the new environment...if you move it and the acclimation holds up, then it most likely is a packing issue...if the tobacco isn't ready, then its not your fault...if it IS ready, then it's not the tobaccos fault...
