srawas89
Damn that's some anger at parking...I know that the article is most certainly biased against the parking fines and stuff but damn somethings not right. What ticked me off the most is the paying monthly for the Parking Trust fund. I think that is a very easy way to extort money from business because it is hard to tell how many customers are drawn in by a particular business and not all come in by car and not all come into the business in separate cars as many carpool. That law really pisses me off actually. But yea I would be worried about raising children there too.

fcbayern
QUOTE (McLovin600 @ Nov 5 2009, 08:50 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>dude got stabbed. happens every day in every major city. thats why we made suburbs to raise kids in My question is "Why is this all of a sudden acceptable".. So if I get this right, If I dont want to get stabbed I shouldnt go to the city? Actually the stabbing happened at the beach which is no where near the city..Non the less people get killed here everyday.. I think instead of using my tax dollars to build a $130million dollar parking lot for the Marlins New stadium, just maybe the Govnt should use my easily stolen tax dollars to keep our city safer. Not only for the residents but also for the millions of tourists who visit here every year..Or maybe they should let me keep my tax dollars then I can hire a bodyguard, I'm sure it will be cheaper and I will be safer that way.. McLovin600
def not acceptable at all. maybe we are just used to these kind of things, which we shouildnt be but it is what it is. I don't know why its so hard to "clean" up a place. there will always be scumbags out there. the tax dollar is a whole other issue but i wouldnt know anything about that my state is broke lol. Hippo_Master
Everything in that article I already knew about happening hourly in miami. Seems like just another day to me. I was there on business once and was mugged, but I was in Miami so i was smart enough to leave my cash and cards at the hotel, had 5 bucks in my wallet in case I was hungry. fcbayern
OK another news update, this time about Broward county just a few miles north of miami. They do not have anywhere to hold the anual county fair because "the ecenomy is bad" in this articlehttp://cbs4.com/local/broward.county.fair.2.1303389.htmlBut BRoward county commissioners have been spending outrageous amounts of money on travel expenses, staff bonuses, and so on. Check this out..http://cbs4.com/iteam/iteam.tax.spending.2.955862.htmlSorry its a lot of reading,, Is there any way to stop the corruption in our Govnt?
