poncho
Hey, so I dropped a new hookah bowl i made today on my tile marble counter top, and this piece broke off of it so i decided to see if it would work as a glass screen and it seems to work great! I think if i was to try to make this i would cut a few slits in the bottom of it, so the coal can get some pull too, but honostly its working great with no slits cut. I have 3 coconut coals on it and the heat is perfect. Have had it going for about a half hour now and the coals look like that in the picture, they are burning super slow and the heat is great! What ya think?

JDHarding
I have a glass screen, but it never worked right.. it's also too slippery and can easily slide right off the bowl. The shisha isn't supposed to touch the screen at all, but it's not enough heat to really cook the shisha either.
rhineholt
That's pretty sweet. I never had a glass screen so I don't know how well it would work, but I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of those.
Chreees
It looks nice, but I've heard too many problems with glass screens, problems like the ones JD mentioned above.
NimbleCow
I have a glass screen for my MNH mini that was made to fit. I didn't have any problems with it slipping or staying in place. In fact, I thought that the flavor was a bit more pure with it.However, cleaning it was horrible. Cleaning the glass mini and the mod were a cakewalk compared to cleaning the screen. If any tobacco made contact with the glass screen--it would take longer to get that screen clean than to clean the rest of the hookah including the glass phunnel/mod. NimbleCow
The cupped glass on yours I bet doubles to keep your coals extra toasty also--which is a nice touch.
Stuie
Very nice.I wonder if the curve, although very helpful for falling coals, will require more coals, because there is more glass to heat?

Jabbles180
I am willing to give it a run. I still havent been able to make the MNHookah glass screens work right with tangiers. Every other tobacco seems to work ok with it. Foil is still way easier to work with though. Slits may help but the main positive i found with the cover was not ash in the tobacco giving it the ashy flavor. This would go away with slits in the glass.
