water in the glass replaced with alcohol

hmm well I have heard a few rumors about using beer, or hard alcohol in the glass to replace water.  However I have yet to come across somebody who has done it, and to be frank, I am a little hesitant to try something like that without information about it.  Does anybody have any information about using liquids other then water in the glass?

Do a search.  People have had mixed results, but many like it.  Ive dropped a shot of vodka into my base before.  It gives a bit of a kick.

Didnt we all decide that www.genuinehookahs.com was an ass a while back? IIRC, he ripped a few board members off only to follow up on the board smack talking all of us. Now THATS customer service!I even suggested that we make a sticky containing "Dead-beat vendors", with Genuine Hookahs at the top of this list.

Look, I don't encourage the use of alcohol for anyone who doesn't want it. However. Let me repeat:
HOWEVER, I encourage people to be their own man or woman. If something is illegal, then I suggest against it. But please, don't look for someone to give you permission to pour liquor in your hookah and smoke with it. If you are curious, just try it. That way you can form an opinion about it. If one is of legal age, and a successful business owner, with 2000 positive ebay customer feedbacks, it would be of very little hardship to go purchase a bottle of (whatever) liquor to try. It's not as if someone suggested stowing away on the next Space Shuttle flight to circle UrAnus or something. (That sucked)

It's not like a suggestion to shower in "heavy water," while munching on a piece of yellow cake, or people's opinion of a $40,000 car before you plop money down on it. What kind of information are you looking for? What alcohol and smoke do on the molecular level?
Here, look! You're meeting someone who has tried it. I enjoyed it very much. I would suggest the cheapest, biggest bottle of White Zinfadel and do some strawberry with it in the machine. Yes, you taste alcohol. And contrary to popular opinion, the fumes from the brew get into your system and you get a mighty cool buzz . Now, if you really want to have a blast, another recipe is 50-50 water and ouzo. Make sure the ouzo has been in the freezer a day, so you can watch the massive "snow-globe-like" ice crystals dance around while you are hitting Nakhla apple or XX-Apple. Pure alcohol-buzz paradise! Please, don't smoke strawberry with ouzo. Well, unless you want to see what your stomach looks like inside-out.
I knew an Australian woman who swore that Vodka was the ticket. Just try it and see. The worst thing that could happen would be the lower end of your machine gets cleaned really well.
Sorry if I sound like I'm chastising you for asking a question, but I'm not quite sure what "information" you are wanting to gather.
Oh, and to provide my point of view on the "sales" scams debacle , I would be willing to order something from you in the future, as a good will gesture, and because I really doubt you are wanting to "rip anyone off" intentionally.

I have tried putting vodka ( the cheapest I could find) into a hookah one time, and never did it again. If I were an alcoholic and needed to ruin the flavour of the shisha with the taste of hard liquor I would continue doing it... but I am not an alcoholic...

I've heard my share of horror stories from alcohol in the base...probably from using STRAIGHT alcohol in the base.

I put tequila in my vase once. I didn't like... since I just don't favor the flavor of liquor all that much, straight anyway. If you like the taste of a certain liquor and feel like getting that hint of taste in your smoke, then go for it if your willing to sacrifice some liquor for smoking and not drinking.

wow looks like i missed alot on here. try southern comfort (three shots) in your base with distilled water and some sort of peach shisha. turns out really well if you like souther comfort. basically tastes like your smoking soco. definitly would do it agian but then again i keep soco around in liters.

ye i was thinkin about starting a topic on this subject, but i thought someone must have already. still didn't answer my questions like  but it was a good read.
so anywho's rather than starting anew thread, i thought i would just add to an existing one.
From what i can understand, and the sensations people describe about putting entirely alcohol (or mixing it with wateR) in the base, some of the alcohol does get in you. But does anyone think it would be enough to get you drunk (and possibly wreck and make you forget the shisha experience?) I know someone mentioned they mixed some alcohol with strawberry shisha and then said something along the lines of "dont try this if you dont want to know what your stomach looks like inside out"

i wouldnt suggest driving afterward, it does seem to give you a odd sense of inebriation, not quite sure it would get you drunk but it could impair your driving ability somewhat.

I worked for a company that was developing isopropyl alcohol purification units ( rubbing alcohol). I suffered an isopropyl alcohol poisoning from inhaling anhydrous isopropanol fumes. I was sick for three days. Not something to screw with. Sorry Soap...BAD IDEA! Isopropyl alcohol in larger doses caused nerve, kidney and liver damage.
