spectrum055
Well my first language was of course American English...not the awesome English English... But I am slowly trying to learn German, then moving to Russian and might try Arabic or something of the sort after perhaps ... I don't know I was told the first two languages are the hardest to learn but after that it gets easier ...but to become fluent in them is really hard...oh and some Pbasic, and am working on C++ (they would count as a language...though not really spoken...) bolt in blue
English, enough Spanish to get around, little bit of classical GreekC#, ASP.NET, C++, C, SQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, bits and pieces of other languages (Verilog, Fortran, Basic come to mind). I'm convinced that the better you get at development, the less important the language you use and knowing it becomes. The things in common start to overshadow the differences. Vladimir
English, a little Russian, I can pick up some Greek but it would be entirely unfair to say I "know", and completely wrong to say I can "speak" Greek.Russian I can hold my own writing and reading conversational (such as instant messages), I can normally speak whatever it is I need to convey (the basics), but my understanding is pretty nil.My family is Russian but no one passed the language on, I studied it in UNI, only a year, but did very well . Knew about 800% more Russian after a year than I did of Spanish after two (note I didn't mention any skills with Spanish lol)!My signature says "Я говорю немного по-русски (я американец, но мой пра дедушка русски)" - "I speak a little Russian (I am American, but my great grandpa was Russian)". antouwan
english. i'm beginning to realize that i'm rather proficient in specifically mexican spanish (never took a class), used to know A LOT more french but it's pretty worthless now. i can read and write arabic (taught myself) and mild conversational i can do, but by no means fluent fluent; if you aren't lebanese forget trying to speak arabic with me. i have 2 guys from KSA in my econ class and i can't converse with them for shit.
