Imak
ok so I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum - sorry.Ive owned 2 different hookahs, both from the middle east and brandless...they both work pretty well but in a tragic accident, they both fell and broke at the same time Now im looking to buy a new hookah but I dont want to go to local smoke shops. I wanna get a good quality one that will make me orgasm everytime I smokeIve heard Mayas are good quality, and so Im thinking of getting a Maya odyssey. Does anyone have any personal experience with this one? Any other recommendations (preferably medium to large sized) Also, I hear that Maya hoses suck, so I want to get a nammor hose. What is the difference between a large and a small nammor hose? Is it just length, or is it also a difference in width? Finally, is a heba diffuser effective? Is it worth it?Thanks! Zinite
Myas are fantastic hookahs.Nammor small/large are the same except for the handle length.Get a diffuser if you want your hookah to be quieter. Don't expect it to make it smoke any better.
Capt. Morgan
I don't own one but have that pipe before I liked it. Your going to have a bunch of people recommend KMs, which are excellent pipes in my opinion. If you like the more modern look or really want to be able to upgrade it to multiple hoses go with the Mya. To my understanding the only difference between the small and large nammors is the length. Sorry no experience with the diffuser, to my knowledge all it really does is make the hookah quieter.
Hookah_510
Mya Odyssey was my first quality hookah I've purchased and I really like it. I started off with a generic teardrop junior 20" pipe. It was a drastic upgrade from what I had. The smoke tasted better, bigger clouds, portability, craftsmanship and overall design. The hose it comes with is just a standard hose. I highly recommend a Nammor washable hose as it can plug into most hose ports. Since I bought my Nammor, its the only hose I've been using. You should also look into the Al Fakher hookahs: http://www.alfakheronline.com/Item_Hookahs.htm I picked up a 24" solid Al Fakher to change things up. I prefer my AF because it offers bigger clouds and has a more attractive appearance than the Mya. The only bad thing I can say about the AF is the base is narrow and passing the hose around can easily knock the hookah over if your not careful. And that's not really a big issue unless your smoking on a carpet floor like me.

Stuie
I smoke my nammor all the time, but I still like my Mya hoses. Just a thing.Nammor size difference, like stated before is the handle length. Honestly unless you are just in a tight spot financially go for the large.Mya Odyssey is a stinking awesome hookah. Bought that for my buddy for his Birthday. Great smoke.Heba is great I love them. Plus to the Big diffuser, is that the Odyssey is wide enough for it to fit down into the base. And what gives with the ultra-small bases? Those hookahs could be blown over by a stiff breeze. But, to each their own. We got two to sell in the lounge and they sold within a week. Not bad considering we have some KM's that have been sitting around for months.OP, get a MYA QT. Honestly, the best hookah investment I ever made. Throw a phunnel and a nammor/razan on there and there's virtually no difference from smoking a pipe twice its size. Plus it's cheap and super easy to work with! The only downside with MYA's is the small trays. Plan on burning all kinds of holes in your carpet. And don't even think about scraping your coals off the side of the bowl into the tray. Majid
I once dropped that base on a concrete floor and it didn't break, just chipped a little bit on the side, no functional damage. That's a solid quality pipe right there, smokes well, sits stable. If you can get another hose with it though that would make a big difference in draw. Did have some gunk come out when cleaning it, not sure if that was the pipes material or build up from smoke/water/molasses.
