Tangiers Lucid "horchata"

Recommended Posts

After reading a lot of positive things about Tangiers Horchata, I went ahead and ordered their lucid line up after a fail attempt of prepping the OG line up. The folks at Hookah-Shisha advised that it will need some air time. One of the staff members said to pack the bowl and let it sit for a few minutes or up to an hour prior to smoking. I'm guessing its an universal preparation method. For those that smoke Tangiers LUCID, whats your best approach to this? What has and hasn't worked? Of course I'll be using a tangiers bowl. honestly everything works. If you want great flavor just pack it like AF or SB, if you want great flavor and the largest clouds ever created pack it tight. Watch the packing video on youtube by hookah john and especially Jay's video on hookah forum. Be careful with the heat i have found the flavor gets kinda funky when it is too hot.

i duno if its cuz i left my horchata lucid out in a container for almost a year but i dont get that much flavor, i mean the clouds are big and all but the flavor is very mellow not in your face type.

First off, like others have said, there's no need to acclimate the "lucid" variety of Tangiers.

Second, I've found there's a point where leaving your tobacco out any longer only results in a reduction of flavor. I learned this the hard way, but never with Lucid. I've had some OG I was trying to acclimate out for so long that it just lost most of its moisture and all of its flavor. I've also had some AF that just tasted off. I tried letting it sit out but it didn't help. It was probably a batch issue (I've noticed consistency issues with AF more than any other brand).

Lucid's easy, man. Open, pack, smoke. Simple.

gonna disagree...Lucid may need some acclimation. it really depends on your environment...for example:

i have 20+ containers full of tobacco...none of them are labeled. i was trying to look for OG Vanilla, so i reach for one container and get something i thought was Vanilla, set it aside to acclimate. i decided to air out some other flavors in case i wanted to smoke more...i opened another container and got..."Vanilla"? i was confused to say the least, so i reached for another container and got "Vanilla" again...

now, this wasn't the smell Tangiers Vanilla has...but, Vanilla tends to go wonky easily and has a certain smell when it falls out of acclimation. all three of these had the exact same smell...

and the flavors were...... Lucid Apple, OG White Grape, OG Vanilla

Exactly what scoop said, I have had it where it wasnt right and let it sit out overnight and it helped, no question about it. Others were so good right out of the bag there was no need.
