Doing Something Wrong Please Help!

I seem to burn the top of the shisha when I'm smoking. I use a standard egyptian bowl, and it burns every time I pack a bowl with SB and Fantasia. I've smoked Fantasia flavors where the flavor is extremely strong, and with purple haze almost tasted like I was drinking it. Then I go home, pack myself a bowl of it, the flavor is VERY week, and begins to taste like something horrible. I use 2 nara's, going to try just 1 and break it in half, but is there anything else someone can think of that I'm doing wrong besides that?

Make sure you pack it right. Dont pack in there, just sprinkle it in, and the push down with the foil. 2 coco's would make the shisha burn, im sure you'll have better luck when you break the coals in half.

Btw, when i say dont pack it in there, i mean dont push the shisha down with anything, just sprinkle and let the foil do the rest.

What I do with SB is I just sprinkle the shisha in to the top of the bowl.
Then I put on the foil on.
It's simple. Just make sure you're not pushing it down. SB doesn't smoke well in an egyption bowl pushed down.

but if the foil is all that you use to push it down wont it touch the foil and burn?

You might not be using enough shisha, and the tobacco touching the foil wont make it burn. Can you post up some pics of your bowl packing technique? Also make sure your coals are on the outer edges of the bowl.

It doesnt matter that the foil touches the shisha. The top part will always end up being burnt up first anyways, its closest to the heat source.

Thanks guys, I think I have it figured out. Wasn't sprinkling the shisha in, I just picked it up with tongs and layed it in, which worked most of the time with AF but when I started smoking Fantasia and SB it didn't work too well.
