Whats the big difference on Phunnels with or with out a mod in it? I dont really see tooo much of a difference, anybody got an opinion on it?

personally, i think they're rather useless. i mean if you want to save your tobacco it's worth it - guess. i just don't see the trouble as being worth it.

I use the tealight mod to save shisha...

No other purpose for it that I know of.

Take a tealight, take out the candle, cut six triangles into the sides, flip it and place it over the middle of your phunnel and pack tobaccy around it. You'll end up using half as much shisha, making your money go further.

Make sure you wash the tea light thing before using or you run the chance of tasting wax.

I actually use a tea light mod on my mini phunnel laugh.gif jay, joe, walt, and a couple others have already laughed at me for it, but i like it. I can load like 10-15g of shisha in , use one coal split in half (or two if i am feeling lucky) and have myself a good 30-45 min session, which is about all i care for most of the time anyway.

I personally feel like the tea light mod helps the shisha smoke better, i have not been able to get a phunnel bowl to smoke good without one, but I know a lot of people on here can so...

the mod....ha!

the theory behind the mod i believe was the direct the airflow through the shisha, giving you more flavor. i never noticed a difference in flavor, but the draw does become significantly restricted....

it saves on the amount of tobacco you use too...

you just gotta learn how to pack with a mod ohmy.gif hahaha...imagine someone like me telling someone like you how to pack... rolleyes.gif i am pretty damn good at packing a bowl with the mod, tho...i have found ways to get rid of the restricting air flow you speak of...

And how do you pack it right to avoid restrictions?

You really don't need a mod for the phunnel, but it's good to have one hand just in case. It's suppose to re-direct the smoke and make smoking non-tangiers tobaccos more flavorful, but I have found that with or without the phunnel smokes superbly. I do use it for desi though. AF soft black deosn't need it.

You can also get SC's at TexasHookah, but they aren't as well designed as the phunnel IMO. Edited by Hippo_Master
