d_apathy
Haven't really herd much talk about it on the forum figured i'd bring it up. Does anyone do this every once in a while?. I tried it while back for the first time and i gotta say i fell in love with it. The set up was an apple with strawberry sisha. It gave watermelon taste / apple. djnick
how exactly does this work? i dont see how using a fruit can give off any taste since its still the mollases and shisha thats burning not the fruit
DarthHookah
ive always wanted to try, but never got around to it. definitly sounds cool, though.
steve07
My question is how you do it?
DownZero
Yeah.. I'm not sure I understand the question... I'm assuming your asking if we add slices of fruit into the base of the hookah to compliment the flavor of the shisha... if so, I've yet to try it.. but I will soon. The sisha itself burns but inside the apple. Same concept with the foil and coals. I cant exactly make an edu on how to but i might go to the hookah bar to take pic just for this. gunsboy
It is useless. I used apple (red/green). The only difference I felt it slowed the burning of some of the tobacco, but no difference in smoke quality. Waste of good apples.

The Dude Abides
It's merely a way to be creative and fun with friends, which can be a good thing. As far as improving the quality of the smoke, I'm very doubtful.
aronparsons
I smoked out of an apple once, but had a bad experience. It gave a nice bit of flavor to the shisha, but it then fell off and burned my carpet That was back when I thought I could just be super-careful and not have any problems. Now there's a nice thick rug down. I'll have to give it another go sometime; it was a honeycrisp apple too (the absolute f**king best apple!). ;-)

SanguineSolitude
seems like alot of work. i mean if someone tells me its better in every way than a normal bowl maybe i would try it. but to be honest i'd just as soon eat the piece of fruit while smoking from a regular bowl. seems more like a novelty item served at a hookah bar. zombiedepot
It's cool, though I've never done it. I think I'll stick with clay.
sheeshabum
I made one a few years back with an apple. Obviously you need a certain ammount of heat to get your shisha vaporizing. Or you could end up with too much heat and a baked apple, which I did. It fell apart on me, besides and I was more experienced, but sadder! No taste difference. surfpico

chicks dig it
Surfpico, any thoughts? Please share. MR Bubble
Ummm... hmmm....I think it would pretty rad if I walked into a room and saw people pulling on a hose with a fruit for a bowl. In fact - if I were hungry enough I'd probably be tempted to eat it. Only of course if it were an apple filled with Al Amir caramel apple shisha...mmm....::tummy grumbles::But yeah, I think chicks would dig it. Mainly though because it's "cute." Girls are into that cute sh*t. Now what I'd really prefer is a nice big tangiers bowl filled with something yummy. But if you could make a fruit bowl just as sweet...then ohhhh yeah.MR Bubble... top that hookah with a fruit bowl and we can fast forward through the wedding and hit slow mo for the honey moon.Bowwww chicka wow wow...Hahahahaha I crack myself up! jmexx
The best fruit bowl I've made had to have been with pears. It doesn't really enhance the flavour but it makes the session more enjoyable and refreshing.Jon
