Packing A Puhunnel

Ok, ive heard about 5 different ways to pack a phunnel.

Tell me if this is right?

You actually pack it in, rather than leave it loose? This is my main confusion right here.

Put one bigger hole in your tinfoil in the middle, and a row or two of smaller ones around the bowl.

yea, it all depends on what your packing. If your packing tangiers than you wanna pack it in tight. If its basically anything else just sprinkle it in.

imo, this is the singlemost comprehensive way to pack a phunnel. it works for everything, some things better than others, but it works well for everything. af included.

I only use Tangiers OG, and I basically just put the tobacco in the Phunnel, make sure the sides are covered, and smoke. 3 jap coals on a medium, and holes poked all over the foil. I had a really rough time with it for a while though.. You just have to keep trying. I still prefer to just smoke Tangiers out of my regular egyptian clay bowl.

for tangiers? i tryed lucid once and you wana pack it tight but keeping in mind you have holes in the bottom of the bowl so dont squeeze the shit out of it or you'll send all the juices down the bowl into your stem..which will happen eventually but that will shorten the length of your session with less flavoring

Havent had much nak as I dident really like it. More of an af/tangiers guy.

But this made me think. I packed it like I would of packed af. That could of been why I dident like it that much

alot of the bigger cut shishas work better if you pack them tight. this is beacause it dosent touch itself as well, it leaves bigger pockets of air than a more fine cut shisha. air dosent conduct heat that good. packing the NAK lose is just gonna torch the top of the bowl to fast, and prevent good conduction of heat to the bottom of the bowl, making a shitty smoke. this theroy applies to tagiers and ayam zaman as well.

for some further notes on nakhla treat it much like you would tangiers. use a simmilar hole patern. another note on nakhla is you gotta get the heat just right. to little heat gives of shitty smoke and to much gives it a horrid taste, burning nakhla is horibble.

Now that I think about it, and correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you theoretically tight-pack all shisha? I always thought you didn't want to pack juicy tobaccos that tight but Tangiers is juicy as hell and I pack it tighter than anything else.

you can i do it all the time, it take a tad more heat to get those thunder clouds but it will last slightly longer
