Leonid Meteor Shower 2009

So Tuesday night is supposed to be the biggest meteor shower of our lifetime.
Anyone doing anything special for this night?

Originally, me and a bunch of friend were going to go to my cabin is Slippery Rock to view it, but no one wanted to drive that far.
So...we are going to a friends place right outside of town where there is no light pollution.
So far, I plan on taking my KM King Tut and my MZ Nefertitti B, my friend Jordan is bringing Oscar the Steam Punk hookah and his new Temsah, Garrett is probably bringing his 3 hose MZ with a Mya Acrylic base, and if Oakes comes, he'll bring his Mya Acrylic.

This is going to be an epic night of hookah smoking.

So, cmon, who else is doing something epic?

edit: I just checked, its monday at 11pm till tuesday at 4am

thanks for the heads up riv, that's my anniversary night, hopefully we can see something from our backyard.

kinda pissed. we were supposed to go out to a romantic cabin in the middle of nowhere Monday through Wednesday and that would have been perfect, but alas money is tight.

Oh well.

Very glad I saw this. I will see about making a trip out to grandparents farm Tuesday night, it's far from the lights, though there is some, it is the best place I know of around here to see meteor showers. Glad I checked HF today!

I think about 200 of my facebook friends have tried inviting me to this, while I intend on viewing -- I'm not announcing it on facebook lol...when I first saw this I was looking for the "no" "ignore" or "X" button to clear it lol

Damn I forgot about this its too late now...And its only bout 15f outside And I'm in town.
Darn I missed it

The shower peaks at around 4 AM for North America, although the shower favours Asia. Predicted frequencies for North America are only about 1/10 that of Asia, to me it's just not worth staying up for.

It was perfectly clear here, but it was too cold to stay outside all night to watch for them, considering Im slowly starting to get better, dont need to get worse.

I wish it hadnt been as cold because I would have stayed up all night to see them.
