Enjoivolcom Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 I'm smoking some golden esk right now, thought id whip it out again, its been awhile. The taste to me is pretty much disgusting and I don't know why after I hear all the hype about it. Everytime I smoke it with friends they all say the same thing. The only thing I can think of is maybe I got a bad batch? It took me awhile to get the packing method down but it is down now and still the same results. I would ask the forum what they think of it and if they have the same feelings but I'm pretty sure I know what you will all say but what the hell, anyone else not too fond of the flavor? Let me put it this way in the last 3 or so months the only other brand I've smoked besides tangiers is AF.....Esk Apple. Tastes just like a good sour apple when you smoke it and is pleasing to my tongue. But everyone has different tastes so it could be it's just not for you. For example, NK Peach is clearly not just peach but a more floral flavor. And Cardamom is like lemon/ginger/mint. Same with Esk Apple. Romman has a Nakhla quality to it that makes it invaluable.... no matter how drunk I get, I can always pack Romman and Nakhla and get a good smoke! I Loved Good Times and Summer Crisp, but found Melon Berry to be far too sweet.I recently opened a wholesale account with HS and look forward to carrying Romman flavors at my lounge.
