Sin on Sunday
My roommates have a large 3 hose that we bring out on thursdays for our parties but i want a small personal use one for relaxing during homework and such. I have heard great things about the Mya QT so I have been shopping around for one, but I have also read some not so positive things about it, such as the small tray and long stem, along with a thin glass bottom. I'd like some other opinions on the best small hookah for a newbie that doesnt want to spend more than $50ish.
alexander
The majority of people here will tell you to get any small Mya, but that's no surprise, they're great hookahs. Their quality is top-notch, and they smoke amazingly considering how small they are. If you're not really wanting to get a QT, the new Mya Petite has gotten great reviews, it's super tiny and half the price of a QT. You can find them here:http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-5484-mya-sa...ose-hookah.htmlAnd here's a great review of it:http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=33979
Deadlegend
The myaQT of course.Oh, and the hobo hookah, or witch, which is just a stem that fits on any bottle. Pretty cool.

Of course, that's only a problem if you're smoke with your hookah on some sort of burnable flooring like carpet. I've also heard of some people simply buying a bigger tray.Long stem? Is that a problem? And the bases are fine. Sure, if you slam them down on a granite countertop they'll break. But so will almost any other base. The best thing about the QT is if you DO happen to break your base, a replacement is only as far away as your nearest Hobby Lobby.MYA's are great hookahs. The quality is generally better than that of traditional hookahs, and all the parts are readily available from all your friendly online vendors. I say you can't go wrong with a QT. mint
I used to have a Mya Bambino that I smoked in the dorm rooms. It was perfect, easy to use and clean with my limited resources, and even easier to hide when we had room checks xD great when I was studying because it fit on the corner of my desk and didn't take up too much space. It was green and really pretty imo. Here's a picture off google;;

Stuie
Here's my only complaint about the Petite. Because of it's size. If the purge bearing gets stuck. It's too late by the time you realize it. Ruined a perfectly good bowl of Tangiers Cocoa and a pair of Cocos, after running to tend to the baby. sfhookah
Hey there! For a newbie, there is no really "best" small one hose hookah. However, by going out to a smoke shop or hookah retailer, you will be able to actually TOUCH and FEEL the hookah before buying it. You will be able to ask questions that might not be answered in a product description.First, go out to a hookah shop/smoke shop/somewhere that sells hookahs!Next, look around at the hookahs, finding some that are appealing to you. Then, there are a few things you need to check on:- make sure that the hookah comes with a hose- try to get a hookah with a longer hose- look for a large tray so the ash doesn't fall to the ground- thick water jar (should be some sort of glass)Finally, ask the person who works there what they recommend, what they have used, etc. It doesn't hurt to hear what other people have to say about it.Once you find the best small one hose hookah, you can decide to buy it on the spot, or search for that hookah online to see if you can find a better buy! RingsMaster
i personally like the bambino more than the QT but they both smoke the same, whatever you find more pleasing to look at id go for, by far MYA has the best line of smaller hookahs

The only reason i could see someone getting a QT is the need for two hoses or because they want extra stability, i actually have a QT vase on it for that reason. What about the QT did people prefer?
