EggNogAdam
I know I can count on you guys.I was gifted this hookah and:1) I really like the color scheme on the base2)I don't want my friend to think I don't like the hookah3) I want at least a 2 hose stem.I need help with identifying which stems will fit my base, as I have to do all my shopping online. My stem also has a funky gasket on it so I don't know how to judge other stems' countries of origin (compatibility with my base).- The inside of the neck of the vase/base is ~2inches wide- The outside of the base/vase is just under 3inches wide- The current stem's penetration (heh heh) into the base is ~ 8inches and there's plenty of room for a longer new stem.- Just for the record, I love me some Cobra Hose!Help, please.I am looking for what country of origin this appears to be, what stems might work best in this base, compliments on my breakfast table that converts into a poker table, what type of gasket can I get to replace this three-flap-thing that's on the current stem. Thanks in advance!-EggNogAdam-
Bulldog_916
From the workmanship on the stem I'd say the stem is Syrian or Egyptian, the glass probably Chinese or Egyptian. If it feels heavy it's likely Syrian.
inino
Country of origin: EgyptYou can pretty much put any stem on a 2" base opening. You might need a bigger or smaller grommet depening on what you get. Thats a nice pipe though, I would just use it. Probably better than most of the multihosers. Oh and most likely you will have to buy a whole hookah, it might be kinda hard to find a two hose stem by itself. Possibly check in the trade section here. The first thing I would replace is that bowl.
NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
the hook itself is really nice the stem and vase, but the hose has to go..lol and to prevent some other poor hookah smoker from falling in its traps i say burn it..lol

3lemental
You could also look at getting an adapter to turn the purge valve into a second hose port. Assuming it's syrian, as people are saying, this should fit http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-2058-syrian...se-adapter.html.Plus, at $8 it's a lot cheaper than a new stem AND you can keep your friend happy - everyone wins! Er... how do you purge if there is no valve? And, if I attach another hose, what keep me from pushing the smoke into the other person's hose? Sucks because I bought this one and another just like it when my last one broke after being frozen and heated too many times. (Moron Alert.) I am gonna rock a phunnel, windscreen, CH QL's, blue Narbish and hopefully a new grommet for this stem and I guess I'll be set... Maybe I'll buy a new stem. Maybe not. I'm still just excited that I get to buy some new stuff!!-EggNogAdam-

To purge, simply take your thumb off the second hose and blow through the first. Gonna have the same issues wether you buy a new multi hose stem, or adapt your current hookah. EggNogAdam
thanks.Seems like maybe... Maybe I should put up with a single hose unit. It's mostly just gonna be me, anyway. One day I'll buy a 3 holer (out-house joke) and save it for takin' to parties.Man. I love this forum. Can't wait till I'm not a nuber any more and can contribute something.Basically it looks like I'm gonna cop a new single-hose stem, phunnel bowls, windcover, shisha, coals, and hose for Christmas here REALLY soon. ...mwuhahahahahaha AWESOME! GeorgieHC
For sure that hookah... at least the one in the pictures is 100% Egyptian hookah, probably Sarhan, based on the heart and down tube, it probably has lotus designs on the resting plate for the tray.. it could have 2 markings in Arabic that probably say the manufacture.. Sarhan, Hawenki, Al Ashary, ect. The glass is a 26" you must measure the inside diameter of the opening as the lips can vary in side depending on the moulds. But yes a 26 base will fit fit most Egyptians from 24 to 30 inches in height. Hope that helps. The Genie base is a nice design...

The Genie base is a nice design...Actually I had meant to ask you about this manufacturer the last time I saw you. Lately I've seen various Egyptians with the same markings that share components with Temsaah models so I assumed they just used the same castings. At first I did mistake them for Temsaah but the hose ports they use are different and I still have yet to see a picture of the tray rest engravings. Is your 32" Thaqib a Temsaah model? I thought it was based on the description and hose port but it shares the same decorations as the manufacturer in question.

I can't fit my LARGE TANGIERS FUNNEL BOWL on the top of this mother. Does that help identify it? Shit! With a new shipment in (and all my shisha smells JUST LIKE CANDY VERSIONS of whatever they're named - so I'm not even gonna acclimate - FIRE UP!) it sucks to find that this wicked awesome bowl doesn't fit. I'll take a picture of it later. For now I'm gonna electric tape it, then wrap saran wrap around that for good measure and smoke me some Peach here in about 2 hours. wish me luck (or laugh at me).-eggnog-
