because its so leafy i try to kinda wrap the leaves around the edge as best as i can. other than that I do a really light pack. for some reason whenever I pack it hard it tastes burnt really quick.

Pack it loose. Like you would pack starbuzz for instance

It seems I can never get a good bowl of AF or al waha. I packed it lose and above the rim so the foil doesn't get stuck in the hole, put 3 coals on the edge and i have just been tasting a lot of coal. Its not harsh though and I'm getting ok clouds but not what I use to get. What am I doing wrong?

How long are you leaving 2 coals on before giving up with the smoke?

close your eye's and pretend its nakhla

When I smoked Mizo Watermelon Yesterday, I closed my eyes and tasted Al Waha Watermelon. I opened them and it still tasted like Al Waha Watermelon.
lol
For Al Waha, I would say just pay it like Nakhla in the phunnel
What kind of coals are you using?
Sounds like an Exotica problem or Japanese square silver coal problem

Probably not long enough, I just have it set in my head that 2 coals = weak smoke. And I don't have a windcover. By the way, I'm using coco's

I agree guys try packing it a little loose or tighter like nak. experiment and see what works best. I pack mine both and it smokes well either way, one just burns longer (aka more shisha)

As far as the cocos unless you're using a mini I would recommend 3 even if one is on it's side rather than flat. that extra kick of heat will really get it smoking like it should.
