Tony
Hi guys (and gals), i've got another question for yuz. I recently purchased my first Hookah, a Micron from hookah-shishah. When I got it, the hoses that it came with didn't seem to be matched very well to the hardware, there was way to much play there. Now, i've recieved an ice bucket for it and the thread sizes are huge. The inner diameter of my Micron tube is much larger then the ice bucket diameter. I also got some plugs for the spare hose ports and they where way to small. All indications to me is that even though this thing is called "Micron" its all about being "oversized". Some of you may have caught some of my comments on the draw being to light on my hookah and I think it may be due to this thing just being to phat or something... figures i'd get stuck with a lemon (wanna trade?). anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any cross references for thread sizes and what not so I can quit buying stuff that doesn't fit properly. DrunkenWizard
Damn that sucks. Did you order everything from the same company? I would ask them if you can exchange the parts for the right size. Most companies are good about stuff like that.
Tony
I called them (hookah-shisha) and they offered me my money back on the ice-bucket (I didn't even bother mentioning the plugs didn't fit but i'm sure they would have reimbursed me as well) but I decided I would keep it and just get a hookah that it fits on, and also one that I actually like. DrunkenWizard
I just looked at your hookah. It's basically a mini stargate. I don't think they have ice buckets for those. I would suggest a good ole egyptian from social smoke, even though I'm not sure if your bucket would fit. Good luck hunting!
Tony
Yeah, I didn't realize that there where different diameters and thread sizes. I should have checked with you guys before I jumped into this scene with both feet. Oh well.
SanguineSolitude
you also should have asked about the ice bucket since ice water in the vase will do more to cool t he smoke than an ice bucket ever could, and is free. get a hookah you will love, not one that fits the bucket.
