Amn_sinclair
Alright I have to get my words in on this and i am probably going to catch a lot of heat for it, but i am ok with that. While i have not read the books and dont intend to read the books i did go see the movie willingly with one of my buddies on premiere night. I will not disclose our reasons as to why we went to see the movie but we did go to see it. I have to admit while the Twilight series ruins the whole dipiction of vampires, and it involves love (loves can go die) other then those 2 things i found the movie to be pretty good. I enjoyed watching it. If i had a gf that wanted to take me to see it i would have gone... Even with out a gf though telling a girl that you were team edward made the night a lot more enjoyable lol

Firestorm
I tried to read the books. I really did. My roommate kept assuring me that they would get better and I just need to read the good parts. Spoiler: there are no good parts. It reads like a 13 year old girl's dream. Since I do not have an inner teenage girl and have actually read good literature, I heaved the books one by one at my college roommate's head (he is the one that recommended them to me) for wasting my time. I could probably go on for a few pages, but I'll keep that part brief. However, one thing that kind of irks me more-so than everything else - what is up with the sparkly vampires/change-at-will werewolves? Did I miss something in literature where vampires can suddenly walk around in sunlight and werewolves are now no longer bound by the full moon? Apparently, Stephanie Meyer is just THAT GOOD of an author since she is able to piss all over years of literary tradition in relation to vampires and werewolves. I am still slightly in a food coma from the Thanksgiving meal, so if that came out as incoherent, then try reading it after a large meal of turkey. Coyotero
For what it's worth, Dracula didn't give a shit about daylight, he just didn't have his full range of power at his disposal during the day time. Thus being said, he also didn't sparkle like a poncy little fruitcake. Firestorm
Exactly. Edward Cullen doesn't bite people, resides in the woods and sparkles. Sounds more like a fairy to me.

That shit was fucking hilarious.. Specially the one were he finds random people to star in a porno, but has them dry hump each other. He calls it bone dry. then he actually does a premier of it with people from the industry like Vivid. They're all like, wtf is this shit, and get pissed.. Great shit.. I am still slightly in a food coma from the Thanksgiving meal, so if that came out as incoherent, then try reading it after a large meal of turkey.well lets start off with change at will werewolves. they don't change at will...they have to be provoked and if you read enough of the book, which i understand you didn't like and that's fine. but there is an urban legend on the indian reservation that wayyyyyyyy before their time these vampires came into the town and in their blood is part wolf. and they discovered this whole thing. it's one of those things that if you have it in your head it's not gonna be good or up to your high standards you'll never like them. and either way it's fine as for sparkly vampires...check out The Vampire Chronicles ...made in 1994....with brad pitt and tom cruise. not as popular as twilight but same concepts....they sparkle etc. but it's funny how because it wasn't that popular people like it better then the twilight saga....hmmm. seriously...go...rent it. Barnaby
I managed to see it over the weekend. Good shit for sure, I very much enjoyed myself. I only had a few qualms, but those are pretty light. My biggest beef was the new makeup job on the vamps. It made them look like they weren't even the same actors. I understand their want to use some more of their budget this time on effects, an what not, as the movie did seem to have a higher production value. BUT, in doing so, I went the whole movie thinking that they had a different actor for Jasper.. They shouldn't have fucked with it, as it was kind of distracting. I see what they tried to do, in making them look definitely more otherworldly, but in doing so you take away the whole, they can blend in aspect, as now there is no way in hell anyone would think that, where as before it was doable. otherwise everything was pretty solid, but it did feel rushed. I'm chocking that up to me reading the books this time first, then seeing the movie as I know what to expect. But, yes. I was very pleased. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. I'm not going to say it was better, or not, as that's really dependent if you liked the storyline of the 2nd book. It represented the book well, as did the first film, so that's all I could've wanted out of it. And goddamn, did they make Taylor do roids? Dude got huge. I did have a chuckle when all the teeny boppers creamed alittle when he took of his shirt the first time.
