T355
I was going through some old pictures on my computer today and came across this picture the day I bought my first hookah. I no longer have this hookah, it has since been stolen. But I am wondering now what kind of hookah it was. It had a little sticker on the stem that said made in Syria. Whether or not its true, idk. Anyone have any idea what it could have been? It smoked like a dream though. Never had a single problem with it the whole time I had it. foibled again
It certainly is not a KM.The components in view look like Al Narwas and the vase is Syrian so that would be my best guess. I base it mostly on the hose port as other Syrian manufacturers use stem components and engravings similar to Al Narwas. That stem rest and tray style is still found on some Al Narwas stems. If you still had it I'd offer to buy it.

Basically my friend was living at this guys house, they got in a argument about some dumb shit ( I think it was about not washing the dishes ) and the guy kicked him out and kept all his stuff inside, including my hookah. So since it is in his house and my friend didn't have a lease agreement with this guy I have no legal way of getting it back. But if this turns out to be a better hookah than I previously thought, I may put forth some more effort getting it back.

Narwas are harder to come by today and even if you don't want to keep it, my offer would still stand.

T355
Just in case anyone was wondering, that bowl that came with it was the worst bowl I have ever used.
foibled again
Eeek! I've been spelling it wrong without realizing so that would probably be the problem. The correct spelling is Al Nawras. Here's their webpage in English. Edited November 22, 2009 by foibled again

Giant Ninja Robot
I had a midsize syrian the same height with a similar vase. I just gave it away because I used it once and then did nothing with it. Bought it used or I would help with the brand. I think it's just a generic syrian though. Sonthert
Looks like a 28"-30" Al Nahwra Syrian brass. The hose port is a tell. The jar, too. About three-four years old by the look of it (jar). Possibly imported by BNN...Midwest-Central Southern United States Region. Texas is a different region, so probably you got it in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee or from a website based in one of those states. Maybe Kentucky or New York, too. It could be distributed from Social Smoke, but I don't think so. The bowl looks like a Social Smoke one though. It would be helpful to identify it if you didn't have your hand over the bell and vent. The tray looks newer, but it could be a cheapo one from several years ago, though. It is a very good hookah.GNR: Thats a junky Syrian. I call them Northern Syrian since they resemble Turkish pipes, but I don't know what part of Syria they come from. Cold steel, some of it rusts like a bizitch. I had a friend bring one that was 4' tall made by the same manufacturer from Jordan (presumably imported from Syria????) five years ago or so that cost him $8. Hookah Company had a dozen 36" ones they couldn't sell for $20 like four years ago. I have a 18" one with a solid metal jar, that I still keep and love from my Syrian friend Amar...had it better than 8 years now. The original tray on it has almost completely rusted through.
