I really enjoy rootbeer, especially if it's microwbrewed. Virgils is a good one that can be found most everywhere.

Also birchbeer and gingerbeer. And sasparilla. All good beverages.

+1 to the Dominion root beer. It's local to me, so you can get it on tap at a lot of places around here. Nothing like a draft root beer with a 1/4 pound chili covered sausage. Dominion was taken over by another brewer and I haven't bought the root beer since the changeover, so not sure how much it changed. I'm going to be pissed if it's not as good! I buy it by the 24 pack . . .

One day I went out and bought 20+ different kinds of root beer.  I didn't buy any of the major brands that we have all already tried.  My favorite root beer by a mile was: Sprecher.  It is insanely creamy and pure tasting.  Absolutely love it.

Personally I'm a fan of the sparkling vanilla cream by A&W moreso than root beer.

Old Dominion was bought by Coastal Brewing Company (in Annapolis). Their pub in Ashburn closed down a few months back. But the founders of Old Dominion are starting a new brewery in Ashburn and one of the things on the list of what they're going to make is root beer, so I'm hoping that all is not lost. Going to give the new root beer sold as Dominion a try before I polish off the last of the old stuff.

I love a good rootbeer. IBC is pretty good. I had some amazing draft rootbeer at Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester, NY that was incredible. Also a big fan of Sioux City root beer, sarsaparilla and birch beer. Wish I had one to sip on right now...
