One of my married buddies is having a bunch of the single guys over for dinner tonight after work. he's deep frying 2 turkeys and one in the oven. We've always used a fake tree mostly b/c of cats and the upkeep is easier. But we used string lights for years. About 3 years ago my parents go themselves a $150 fake tree with leds built in......for $45 bucks like 10 days after Christmas. So keep your eyes peeled. it is SO much easier to set up.
