Emberke202
hello hookahforum.im curious about the differences between a MYA QT and a KM besides the obvius differenes like height and price. what do u think do the MYA smoke just like the km? Sin on Sunday
i can't say from personal experience as i havent smoked a KM but i have heard that while the Mya qt will put out a ton of good thick smoke especially for a small hookah, the KM performs better under most conditions. the KM probably has higher end pieces made from higher quality materials. Scoop
bigger myas have common chambers, some are even plated. myas are all made in china, glass is cheap depending on what kind and wheres its made, a toss up when you buy a mya. kms have traditional chambers, generic egyptian glass, way better hose.id personally go km anyday over a mya
Jacob Shock
A mya qt will smoke just as well as a km, assuming your using the same bowl and hose.personal expierence.

The pull is a little easier on the km, bot not by much. Besides the pull, the only difference I can think of, besides the size, it's the cleaning. The km are harder to clean because of their size. Emberke202
thanks guys. u r pushing me to buy a qt, cuz i cant afford a km right now . however if there's not any huge difference, its not a problem.

Chreees
I used to have a KM OG Trimetal, but now I have a Mya QT. I got the Mya because I couldn't afford another KM. The QT will treat you good. Only real differences between the two are aesthetics, the amount and density of smoke you'll get (KM's a little better), and cleaning will be easier for the Mya. Having owned both, that's all I can really think of... I'd personally just get a Mya QT if I were you, especially since you said you can't afford a KM right now. Ive had myas only last a year or two at most before seals start messing up or shit starts rusting. When you hit a KM its like taking a breath of air, when you hit a mya its like sucking out of a straw unless you get a better hose. I have no scientific proof of this, but taller pipes smoke better because of the distance from the bowl to your mouth, the smoke has more time to cool. SloppyJoe
I have owned a MYA QT for about a year. I have never owned a KM but have smoked out of one. I do own a 36" Al fakher Solid. I've been told both KM's and Syrians smoke similar. I've also been told a good hookah should last at least 3 years. I've known people to attest that each three can last that long. I don't see why not either. At the rate I've owned the two I can definitely see it a possibility. Both hookah's are no problem to cleanHowever this is where things get different. The MYA QT is way more portable. A tad bit easier to clean than a bigger hookah. I can say that people have knocked my MYA QT over plenty of times and I've always dropped ice cubes into the base, and it's never broken. It seems it would last long. Non of either have rusted on me. Both purge valves work great and I use the metal ball bearing in both. The QT has a small tray which is a minus if I want to cut a session short and ash the coals. The bigger tray on the AF works way better. Both are great to have for different reasons.I have got bitchin' clouds on the QT. Of course I have with the AF too. The difference I think is the pull on each. With the QT you can't use a really wide gauge hose without it working funny imo. It's a different kind of pull. And with the QT being so small it's a hotter smoke. Whereas the longer stem on the AF and bigger Jar you get much cooler smoke. This is all in my opinion and experience. I'm sure I've missed a few things but overall you will enjoy your sessions with either. The AF I will say is great eye candy though as are the KM's over the the small MYA's. One last thing is I don't like to support China all that much. They make everything, and they make it badly. Gotten many Chinese made things that are just cheap. And the way the people are treated there, the way the government works, and the way they send there lead painted toys over I just don't like it at all. It's pretty sketchy if you ask me. Tis' all! newjacksm
MYA QT is a little restricted compaired to the KM, however not that big of a difference. When I smoke my KM I like it better because I like the rumble I get.

While a small Mya works GREAT compared to all the other shitty hookahs that are out there, KMs have a wider pull (easier to smoke).

What are the Pro's/Con's of each? Its been argued a bunch but i def. prefer the bambino, for me the only reason to get a Qt is if it important to have a 2 hosed pipe, which i think is a little rediculous on such a small piece. I prefer the bambino just because its heart is not rough like the rest of the myas. I have found you have to adamant about cleaning those Myas and once they really start to ghost there is nothing you can do. Plus the bambinos look way more badass. Click
Comparing a QT to a KM is kind of odd. Do you want a small hookah or a fairly large one, 28 inches and up?
