I like thier sound. Also Felt 2 is pretty good. Aseop Rock's production did the album some decent service. I'm familiar with Living Legends also. Scarub has a new album out. I forgot what the name of it was, but it's dope. I've been wanting to check out that KRS and Buckshot album, but the hookah funds have dipped into my music allowance, lol. I'll be on the lookout for that Edan album. It sounds promising. Edited November 26, 2009 by thatonethere

Last time I checked, the only thing I could find of his was The Gatalog album. He's dope. So is Brother Ali. "Us" was nothing short of a work of art. Have you checked out Non Phixion? They are in the same vein of hip hop the guys you mentioned are in. Also Ra The Rugged Man is dope too.Speaking of Bay Area...Has anybody checked out Hochii's album "Bullets Through the Speaker"? It's an old album but worth the listen.

thatonethere
QUOTE (RogueSmoker @ Dec 1 2009, 07:52 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>My apologies but I couldn't resistThe 90's had some really good hip hop coming out, especially in 94. I remember being able to record a whole radio show on a cassette, and each song was good. It used to be hard to get a record deal, and as a result, so many good artists got missed. Nowadays it doesn't matter if you are a good emcee. All you have to do is sell units with a bunch of catchy club hits. Throw Lil Wayne on some of the tracks, some auto tune and there you go. Instant platnum. This is fine by me though. Amazing underground acts are plentiful. You just have to dig the crates a little in order to find them. These are the guys who keep the hip hop spirit, and culture alive.

Not everybody can "pull a 50 cent" by making a name off of dissing otherwise great rappers that have longevity in the game. The Horse Shoe G.A.N.G. is dope even though they have a dumb name, lol. Termanology needs to make a full album already. Sometimes I think his mixtape rapper status makes people not want to see his potential.
