K guys who owns a MNH phunnel? i do!

i got a small one ith scalli mod and glass screen. its great. ive had it for a while now to. almost a year. i personally think there better than tangiers phunnels and vortex bowls.

my only problem with it is its a lil big. i got the small and it holds more than a tang phunnel and less than a tang medium.

dose anyone know how nig the minis are?

I have a large with the scali mod and a mini with scali mod and glass screen. I don't use it often though because I just got a tangiers mini and also have scali's micro phunnel olive wood bowl that takes about 10g or less to load.

i had two minis...and they paled in comparison to the tangiers phunnels...

which is why they have been traded to other people...

i think LIQUIDGSR even said, it doesn't smoke that well....

I have the mini with the scalli mod and glass screen. I like it fine, but I can only really compare it to the egyptian bowls that I've had previously, and it handily beats them. I've tried it with the glass screen and with foil, and I like the glass screen better, since it's less wasteful and mostly effortless. I don't really care about cleaning it, since it's not really a display piece for me.

I have noticed that I get better results with cocos on the glass vs. Goldens. Goldens seem to burn out faster on the glass than when I use foil.

I've never owned one or smoked out of one personally so I can only speculate. But it seems to me glass would be a better conductor of heat than clay. Clay seems more porous and would therefore make a better insulator which I would say is better for a bowl.

Can anyone back this up?

i think you boys may be doing something wrong, or my bowl is better for some reason. never smoked from a mini or a large so i wont get to agressive in defending them, but the small is a beast.

its not the best for tangiers, for tangiers use a tangiers. but i think every thing else is best smoked in my glass bowl.

i dont bother to smoke nakhla in it because it has little juice. ill just use a small tangiers for that and save some shisha.

the reason i like it mere than a tangiers is.

1. scali mod forces air all the way through the shisha, without flaws of the vortex.
2. scali mod dose not interfear with a flat foil surface like i have seen with tangiers bowls.
3. due to the bottom of the bowl holding less tobacoo than a tangiers i feel it heats it better. what i mean buy this is there is less tobacco at the bottom reqiring slightly less heat. with my glass phunnel it waste even less overall. this is an up for brands like romman.
4. the glass is a better conducter than clay. this helps the end of a bowl.
5. in general the end of a bowl is better than with a tagiers phunnel, with a brand that is not tangiers or nakhla.
6. glass screen provides the cleanest tasting most consistant smoke throughout a bowl, warning glass screen=lots of coals
7. its so damn sexy

it is a bitch to cleen though. and the scali mod never gets trully clean.

some people may like this because glass is easier to clean, and provides a less contaminated smoke. with normal bowls flavor evventully seeps in and you need to soak them to get it out. i however see this as kinda a negative. i love unglazed bowls.

The glass works great with starbuzz or fantasia, but not so great for tangiers. I also rather use my mini tangiers bowl or my olive wood bowl rather than the glass because they are harder to clean. Other than that they smoke okay. I used my large one for a good year before it broke and I repaired it. I bought my bowl from Arcane and someone else on here. Its a nice bowl but in the end I rather use the mini tangiers or the olive wood bowl.

that may be my problem then....Tangiers and Nakhla are my main smokes...and those smoke better in a Tangiers phunnel than a MNH mini glass bowl....no doubt about it!

Jay sent me a mnh mini glass phunnel and mod. I thought it worked quite well. I use my tangiers phunnels more though, im afraid of breaking the glass phunnel. But, I still use it though, its a nice bowl.

Here are my complaints for the mini glass phunnel though:
1. it leaks juices down the stem like a bitch
2. if you are using a KM and take the bowl off the stem for any reason, good luck getting the damn thing back on, it don't work. For some reason, after the bowl heats up, if you try to take it off and put it back on, it will slide right back off.
3. the glass is a bitch to clean.

But, i really do like it quite a bit, smokes really well and saves on shisha. Haven't tried tangiers in it though.

yeah i have a mini with the scalli and i can't get tangiers to work for crap in it..going to give it a go in my new bowl when i get back to school..since i couldn't bring the tangiers home.

If anyone is looking for a MNH mini w/ scalli id happily trade it though

I've got a small MNH phunnel and use it almost every day. I love it. I use it more than my tangiers phunnel, just because it doesn't take as much shisha to fill it up and smokes great for about 3hrs.

I would think that with the more jucier baccy's the holes would clog making them ineffective. In that scenario, you might as well use a TN phunnel.

And I'm sorry, but IMO, those glass bowls are just ugly. Of course, this is an issue of taste, but I prefer the beautiful simplicty of of Eric's bowls. I dig the organic colors and the overall earthiness of the whole thing. Those glass things just look like some sort of NHT apparatus to me.

there are on holes to be cloged, mine has never been clogged once, and ive used it over 100 time.

I have a mnh mini. it holds about 15g with a mod and maybe 20 without it. I rarely use it.
