LZ22
Im looking to purchase a new mya. I currently have a bambino and just want something a little taller and sturdier (the pyramid shape of the diva and vortex are stronger than the pumpkin shaped bambino). I am looking at a Mya Vortex and Mya Diva. I don't have an unlimited budget, and the Vortex is basically the max that I would spend currently. Since Mya parts are all standard on their hookahs, is there really a difference between the diva and vortex that would justify the extra $40 or so? Both would be using a nammor and phunnel. NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
just looks and heights..the vortex looks better to me, but you have to decide if the looks is worth the extra money..i myself like the diva stem but the vortex vase..since you can only get 1 or the other id go with the vortex.. mint
I have a black/grey Mya Vortex, it is sturdy as hell and smokes well. Plus, it's very pretty in my opinion. Has been reliable as hell for about a year and a half and have never had a problem.
LZ22
So is it safe to assume the main difference is mostly looks?
Chaz1337
Yea. All Mya Hookahs smoke really well and perform all equally well in my past experience. Its which you find more aesthetically pleasing.

I think the vortex is by far sexier, but I dont think i can justify spending $40 extra just for a cooler vase especially if they smoke roughly equal...besides the diva actually doesn't look to bad. Also, is the vortex 22in or 27in? I have seen different measurements on different websites...

NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD
what it comes down to is your budget and how much shisha and coals you have, because $40 can buy you alot of coals and shisha..not tons..but a good amount..but if you got alot already put away or arnt strapped for cash and can buy shisha and coals whenever you need spending the extra $40 for the vortex..if not then save the $40 for supplies and get the other hookah..smoking wise you will get the same..its just a matter of looks.. I believe I found the answer that both will smoke virtually identical. Because of that, I think I am going to purchase the Diva for now. I still think the Diva looks great and it will give me a lot of extra cash to spend on 'pimping' it out and coals/shisha.Thanks to everyone for their input! NimbleCow
I have a Diva and am very happy. Small (16") easy to clean size, sturdy, smokes amazingly, huge ashtray. It's great.
baumann
I've owned a Diva for about a year and I can safely say that they are superb pipes. However, I got mine for $50 for the stem and vase at a local shop, so that may have influenced my bias. Pros-small, portable-pull is amazing-built like a tank-will last forever-purge works fineCons-easy to clean ONLY if you have a narrow enough brush-not tall enough for some people (either a compensation issue or just traditional preference)-MYA hoses and bowls not that impressive (just pick up a Nammor hose and tangiers phunnel)-space for smoke in vase is not very big
LZ22
Well people I have chosen something completely different than my original intentions. Turns out my budget was better than I thought. I just placed an order for:Mya Dionysus - 22in - 1 hose - blood red vaseMaroon Nammor hoseI came across the Dionysus and just thought it was so much better looking than the vortex and the diva. The color and the style of vase are just simply one of a kind.
