Did I Get Lucky The First Time?

I remember smoking Al Fakher a long time ago and thinking it was great. I never found it locally again, so I never smoked it again. Recently I decided to give it a try and order myself a 50g of grape and mint. It was great. It was so good that I decided to order 250g of Golden Esk. Apple, Golden Strawberry and Golden Grape. I have yet to smoke from the Golden Strawberry, but I have been so disappointed from the other two flavors, very weak flavor and thin smoke (compared to the smoke I get from TG and SB). I cannot figure out if I got lucky the first time (with the packing and the flavor), or if I just got bad flavors. I have tried smoking in an Egyptian and in a TG Phunnel (small), but the results have been the same. Does anyone have any tips? I usually try not to pack AF too tight or loose. I am very frustrated with the tobacco, especially since I have read so many good things about Esk Apple.

sometimes esk apple is a little weak and chemically on flavor, i have noticed this too. a great mix is golden strawberry with esk apple. Pack tighter than normal in a phunnel and it should produce lots of smoke. I hate the golden grape, it smells and tastes weird.
