it looks good. your artist could have taken a little more time on it. but it does look good.
I'm not really to sure how he could have taken more time. He was working on it for two and a half hours and that was even using a magnum needle for the coloring.

nice. the size you picked is great. I have 2 heavy black ones and i needed to get each touched up 3 times. I'm picky but the black is REALLY hard to fill in with all the blood ointment and ink all over the place. hope your guy does it for free, I always ask before. man I wish i could have at least 1 forearm done but I'm an office employee for life lol

Getting a tribal tat? What tribe are you from, dude?

I'm 100% against tribal tattoos. I have my fair share of tattoos in various places on my body and for sure advise against the tribal route. But, to each their own. Do what makes you happy.

whats wrong with tribal tats? you dont have to be from a tribe thats the craziest shit i ever heard..lol my piece took 7 hours non stop to do and if i had to do it over again i would in a heart beat..i mean if you have a cross does that mean your a priest? or if you have your favorite teams logo does that mean you play for them? or if you have a eagle does that mean you can fly?..lol

Crosses usually have meaning, eagles are just fucking stupid, and a sports team usually implies you enjoy that team. It was a joke, bro9. Get with the picture. If you couldn't figure out that I think tribals are the most bro/over-rated tattoos of all time from that comment, you, well, do now.

Tribals for your first tattoo will probably end up being a mistake in the future. I'm just sayin'. They are addicting as SHIT and after you see how much of a collar-popped-guido you'll end up looking like with that sick tribe stamp on your body, you'll regret it.

lol Just kidding, man. Do what you want to do! It's all in good fun:)

Tribals are stupid, though.

Lets see your tats so we can tell you how stupid they are plz. and then we can also hear a looooong boring story about what each of them means. k thanx

Good stuff Amn, not really my thing but to each his own. I really wish I could decide on something to get because I want to get one. I have so many ideas but I'm not sure what, if any, would actually turn out well.

perhaps it's the picture but the black looks like it could be more filled it. it looks like it's lighter in a lot of place which is why i said it looks like he could have taken more time. but maybe it is just the picture.

its not "tribal"....if you insist on calling it "tribal", then you obviously have no idea what you're talking about and might as well stop saying "tribal" is stupid...

because saying black work is "tribal" isn't really the smartest thing either...

here's to clear up confusion:

Camel toe, pretty clever. Just out of curiosity, how much did that cost to get done? Just the bare minimum, like $50 or something?
That "real" tribal looks pretty good, def much better/more authentic than the shit that sweet dudes get.

It can be disrespectful.
most tribal tats have specific meanings be it your status in the tribe, the number of enemies you have killed in battle, your religious devotion, or even your family crest, ect....

and I am talking about real tribal tats of course. most "tribal" tats are not tribal but rather just black work as has already been explained.

I am not trying to start an argument or anything like that so if it reads that way forgive me I am simply explaining why.

I'm glad someone knows what they're talking about.

And, to be perfectly clear, black work that is fashioned in the style of tribal would be considered tribal. If it looks like a tribal tattoo, chances are it is.

And as far as the "show your tattoos," get stuffed. I don't need to validate myself to anyone over a hookah forum about what tattoos I chose and why. He publicly posted a picture of his tattoo and I voiced my opinion accordingly. Therefore, stfu.

It does, however, look pretty good. Hopefully your skin takes well to the ink and he didn't just use the cheap stuff! I hate seeing black tattoos fade:(

Go to any tattoo shop and ask them if that's tribal and I bet you'll be considering yourself stupid. There are different styles of tribal tattooing, dude. Both of which you just posted in an attempt to disprove, well, nothing.

ok...soooo, the tattoo studio I went to where the artist explained the "tribal" tattoo on my arm wasn't really tribal....or the "tribal" tattoo i wanted to get, wasn't tribal...

i was in your mindset at one point...but, that particular artist made me see the difference between tribal and black work. now, if you say black work appearing to have a tribal "style" is considered tribal...well, that's your decision...

but, imo...that's like saying Taco Bell is mexican food....it's like mexican food, but if you've had REAL mexican food...you know its a far cry from it...

but, hey...you're free to believe what you want....

but, next time...drop the attitude and try and have a decent discussion....

Nah, man, don't get me wrong, I respect your opinion. However, black work is completely different from tribal work. Like I said in my previous post, there are different forms of tribal tattooing, much like you said it was considered "black tribal work." I've been around tattoos and people who get them for a very, very long time, and each and every artist that I've went to, across multiple states, uses those examples as tribal. Maybe it's a difference of opinion, but I'm suspecting that it's considered tribal.

For all intents and purposes, it's not the style of tribal tattoo you would get out in underdeveloped countries that still do true tribal tattooing. Instead, it's the more mainstream version that people get for various reasons still unknown to me.

To each their own and I hope he's satisfied with his decision! It's all that matters anyway.
