No2. I don't notice a flavor difference, but I don't order the same flavor in both Noir/Lucid. Both are impressive.
Codename067
Not exactly a necessity. It's not easy to tell the difference in taste. As mentioned above, both are just as good.

antouwan
you don't have to acclimate lucid; i do for about half an hour though just for the hell of it. i usually buy lucid because i know i'll be able to smoke the thing rather than buying 15 bucks worth of tobacco and might have to throw it away. Sonthert
Most peope prefer Lucid if they have trouble with nicotine. Some people have recurrent problems with acclimation, for whatever reason, and they prefer Lucid, otherwise, Noir is superior in flavor. The flavors are more vibrant and clearer. The nicotine buzz is fantastic. Most people have no trouble with acclimation. About 50% of people can get packing down right away, about 90% by the end of their first quarter Kg. People who finally get it to work after much trial and error finally find that they weren't adding enough tobacco.

mix_tape
1) A few flavors I've recently purchased have needed some acclimation but they always smoke just fine.2) I don't notice any huge different, a lot less buzz which is nice.Rani totally make me smile with her comments. Helix746
ok cool. i get my lucid tomorrow so i will see, i think i get acclimation right on og tang but i think lucid will be a good control just to see how its supposed to smell and how its supposed to taste. i usually get ok flavor from og tang but its never punch you in the face flavor i usually just smoke for the buzz and there are some undertones of flavor. inino
I acclimate it for a few hours, and I notice a little bit of flavor change. Honestly it wouldnt hurt.
shaffaaf27
yeah thats one thing i have found, lucid needs no acclimation, BUT for somreason blueberry (weirdly enough also OG raspberry) has no flavour at all, where as Kcherry (lucid) has insane taste. maybe its a berry thing? Helix746
got my lucid, smells great and has alot more flavor then my og ever had. Maybe my og was never acclimated fully. Oh BTW Horchata is THE TITS
TobiasKM
I don't know, I got Lucid sour grapes a while ago, and wasn't exactly thrilles with the way it smelled.. And I just left it in the container a couple of weeks while i tried out the other flavours I had.. But yesterday, me and some friends broke out the grape, and to me it smelled a lot better. And tasted fantastic as well. So I wouldn't say acclimation is completely useless with Lucid.. It's not as important as with OG obviously, but is sure doesn't hurt. But then again, might just be me imagining things
Sonthert
Every brand of tobacco will vary because of humidity. Tangiers might be more obvious in its changes, but its a problem for all tobacco.

Bulldog_916
I will always prefer OG over lucid. The flavor is a lot better, more refined and less watered down. Lucid is like the diet version of the full sugar, full fat OG.
Hookie The Hookah
QUOTE (Bulldog_916 @ Dec 2 2009, 07:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I will always prefer OG over lucid. The flavor is a lot better, more refined and less watered down. Lucid is like the diet version of the full sugar, full fat OG.I agree, but I want to discuss some less common reasons why someone might smoke lucid over OG. Personally I buy probably 1 lucid 250g to every 20 250g of OG. What I'm starting to realize is that yes, OG is better and even though neither lucid or OG really buzzes me at this point I will still have some lucid around for a variety of reasons. One, sometimes a lighter smoke is fun too and if I'm going for a light smoke I sure as hell am not gunna turn to AF or starbuzz because lets face it tangiers is the best. Two, I have friends who while they act like nicotine buzzes aren't too much for them when I ask them, in reality they take FAR FAR fewer hits when I pack OG than when I pack lucid. What's ironic about that is that they never mention this fact to me... it's as if I'm more tuned into what they want in a hookah than they are... anyway non-focused rantish thing over, tangiers lucid is good og is good buy them duh duh
