I don't literatly put dishwasher soap on the stem I clean the inside with dishwasher soap and my cleaning stick and after i'm done with the inside they're is usually some bubbles or dishwasher soap that dripped onto the stem I just take a wet paper towel and whipe it up and wash it down and it looks shiny as hell after.
