Sad Day For Sports...

So today, Bobby Bowden, the greatest college football coach in history, was forced to "retire" after 4 down seasons. I'm hot and cold on this issue. Bobby literally built the FSU football program, who had won just 4 games before his arrival and had since went on to 14 straight top 5 ranking finishes, 2 national title wins, numerous title appearences, the first wire-to-wire 1 ranking, the highest bowl game winning percentage, technically still the winningest coach ever, (even if you take 14 wins away he has 26 at Georgia southern), coached argueably the greatest QB in football history [Charlie Ward] who had better numbers than Tebow. Without a doubt FSU has had the greatest college football dynasty that will ever happen. 4 lackluster seasons out of 34 shouldn't be grounds to force someone out who has brought more money to your school in 11 years than your entire endowment; and it's not like we had a losing season since 1974. I can agree that he had to go, but let him have a farewell tour in 2010 with his QB recruit Ponder leaving too, who will be in the heisman talk next year. I foresee a lot of good coming out of Jimbo Fisher if the rumors of our defensive coordinator and linebacker coaches are true, expect FSU to be dominate again within 2 years. Whether you're a Gator, a Hurricane, a Bull, a Mountaineer, or a Gamecock, you cannot deny Bobby's legacy and the superiority of the FSU dynasty that once was.

Bobby is a legend and there will never, ever, be another dynasty like the FSU Seminoles. You'll be missed but never forgotten, Bobby, and us true Noles will defend your legacy and Jimbo's upcoming legacy for years to come.

Jo Pa yes, Bowden, no. Jo Pa had losing seasons, Bowden never fell below .500 win %.

I'm not talking about win/loss... Both Bowden and Joe Pa have an older football mentality. They haven't been able to keep up with the times. That's why their assistants are so good...to make up for the mental acuity both of them have lost over the past couple decades...

I beg to differ good sir... Kindly do a search on Mike Locksley in google and you will find the greatest college football coach of all time. He happens to be coaching where I currently attend school, the University of New Mexico.
