f22a4bandit
A lot of my friends in Austin play this game religiously. They've "quit" multiple times for maybe a month every time, but then hope back on. I've personally played it, got to about lvl 43, and then decided to call it a done deal. This game is really for people that like to grind it out. Myself, I prefer FPS.
SynysterPhoenix
I used to play that game way too much...I failed a class because of it actually. I would play everyday for at least 6 hours. Raiding and whatnot makes you spend alot of time...I was also single, jobless, and was doing poor in school. I decided to change all that and quit WoW. Now i have a GF, a decent job, and getting good grades. Conclusion: WoW is a life killer....dont get sucked in. I wouldnt want it to happen to my worst enemies. Jacob Shock
I used to be heavy into wow. it is one of the best ways to occupie all your time. i actually call is world of warcrack. im one of those people who play constantly then quit for a while then pick it up later. WoW is some hard shit. its so easy to get hooked. thats how good it is. some people would even say its to good.
nars2k
I remember those days, sitting behind the computer for hours and hours. Like Synyster my grades started going bad and I would be rushing everything just so I could go home and play. Whatever you do, dont play it. Sell that shit to someone else. WoW also creates anger issues in people, drives them crazy. Just go watch some of the youTube videos. Even better yet check out this kid when his mom cancels his WoW account.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc

Arcane
its was really great, but your social life does take a hit....plus, in the 14 days (at least for a new person)...you may not get into the parts where WoW can get addicting...however, if you do....say goodbye to your friends and family for a while... Click
I have played for over 4 years on and off. I would raid usually three nights a week for 4 hours. I would just be watching TV anyways on nights like Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday when there isn't anything else to do (6-10pm). I actually had a lot of fun raiding. I met some of my guildmates that actually came out to So Cal to visit during Blizzards gaming convention. I never let WoW take up too much of my time. I maintained a social life and good grades in school. Once I got to maximum level (60, 70, 80) I would just log on for raid and log off afterwards. The time spent leveling up has decreased dramatically. And I mean a shitload. Probably 200-300% less time 1-70 leveling. For example in original WoW it would take probably 35-40 hours just to go from the last levels, 55-60. Currently after experience changes from patches those same levels probably would take 7-10 hours. It is a brilliant game, perhaps too brilliant which cause people to spend 10+ hours a day playing the game. I would play for a few months, get my main character all the best gear at the time and quit playing for a few months until new content or an expansion pack came out. Currently I do not play. I quit back in May or June. This is probably the 4th time have taken a major break from the game (greater than 3 months). I plan to start playing again next expansion Cataclysm in late 2010. It really is up to you if you want the game to take over your life or if you want it to enrich it just like any other game. I would always get shit for playing WoW, but I figured the times I was playing I would most likely not be doing anything else more productive. BTW there are Hookahs all over the game xD Blood elves smoke hookah, too bad their horde and I'm allaince ;_;

I'd rather be alliance than be a damn cow D:Anyway Elune has a population imbalance of 20 alliance to 1 horde. PVP is a total joke there... especially in (World of warcraft terminology incoming, warning warning!!!) wintergrasp, when we have a full raid group of people just popping in for some stupid ass fun and then they have about half of our numbers. They get like 20 stacks of tenacity so they are hard to beat (saying that a tree druid with 20 stacks of tenacity can smack a protection pally or warrior once and down him even if he has 30k health... Nuts). It's fun, stupid fun, but they never win. I've only seen them win once...
Zyram
I played, ran a guild there even. Now I've gone over to EVE online, and I like EVE so much more. It's not a "grind" game, the skills simply take time to train. If I have to take a week off EVE it's simple - set a skill that takes 7+ days to train and leave for a while. I run a corp there so I tend to play often, but it's nothing like WoW used to be for me. The grind is what is killer, and I always had fun doing the raids, but unlike most of the folks in my guild I never had really high faction with the different groups and stuff because I couldn't stand the grind for it.All in all, yes, it's really easy to get hooked on that game. It's as easy to get hooked on Halo though, overall any game you play can snag you and steal your life away if you let it. It takes a lot of willpower to take it easy on games for me. Even EVE can get to where I play too much, but I've got a good group of friends on there etc, and the average age of the gamers is much higher, so you run in to people who have RL stuff going and it reminds you to keep your RL stuff straight too heh. Just my 2 cents.-Z
Tom1
I'm glad I quit after the first expansion, AQ40 is my nightmare. If c'thun killed me one more time, I would of just fucking snapped.I do miss playing it, but I know it wouldn't be the same if I started again. I've only seen them win once...yeah i was on shadowmoon as a horde and the ratio there was like 1-4 in favor of horde. it was weird though horde never attacked alliance cities we just did regular pvp and raids... though seemed like everyday there was an alliance attack on lagrimmar.
