NIGHTS OF BAGHDAD Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 latly we've had a ton of new people join..and have you regs noticed they dont waste anytime getting some high quality equipment and shisha? i mean this weekend alone we had 3 new members who bought some beautiful km's and 1 with a bohemian style vase and mya stem..its just great to see these folks get involved and enjoy themselves like we all do..it reminds me alot like myself..i didnt know a damn thing when i joined..i thought all hookahs smoked the same and you were basically choosing a pipe by looks..also im really glad to see this hobby growing by the day..with all the bad news and publicity smoking is getting we continue to get stronger by the day..helping and educating new members here by the dozens..i also am so glad to be part of this forum..the information here is priceless..i mean literally its priceless..everyone is so helpful and highly educated in all aspects of the hookah..from packing a bowl, heat management, cleaning, reparing i can go on and on forever..also gotta give a shout out to mush for keeping the forum clean for us..taking out the trash and the mods and guest mods for helping out..for all the lurkers out there not sure if this is for you or are shy or scared..all i gotta say is dont be..just register..introduce yourself and get ready to enjoy one of the few luxuries man and woman where meant to have..i love you all Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jondd88 Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 My friends who got me into hookah all know only the most basic of hookah knowledge.Just enough to get smoke to come out.This forum has allowed me to learn so much more beyond that.I learned 99% of what I know now about hookahs from you all.I am no expert or connoisseur but I have become significantly more knowledgeable than my friends in a fairly short amount of time.I was even disappointed with the first hookah lounge I went to due because it cost $20 or so for a single bowl that wasn't nearly as good as what I could have gotten at home with my own stuff.My friend who first got me into hookah also gave me my first hookah, a pumpkin.Since then, I have introduced him to the wonders of Nakhla, Tangiers, Phunnels, Natural Coals, and Mya.His >$100 two-hose smokes like shit compared to my cheap Mya Econo Gelato and that isn't even the best hookah I could have bought with my money in retrospect.If I knew then what I know now I probably would have gone with a QT or a Bambino which will probably be next hookah.I would also like to try a KM someday when I have the proper budget for one.The point I am getting at is that I believe this forum to be solely THE most valuable resource of hookah knowledge second to none.Everyone involved deserves some sort of reward or something.Without you guys, I would probably be smoking SB out of my pumpkin with 3K right now and thinking it was the shiznit You guys are fucking awesome.Thank you all sincerely.Now I think it is time for me to go load a bowl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Some arent even here anymore like JD and a few others. I think we have to thank them. Without them laying the ground work for the state of the forum, we wouldnt have it this way. All you'd have is a HF in an incomplete state, crappy Hookah Myspace (you all know what I'm talking about), or 1 or 2 others. None would be the one stop shop you see today. In fact, I'd go as far to say that if they werent here, none of us would be as good at this as we are or have as much fun doing it. Thanks HF forefathers!
