Question On Alfahkeronline Products

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, didnt post this in there vendor thread since i didnt want to add to the reviews with just questions.

Was planning to order from mnHookah but they seem to be down for the count. AlfakherOnline looks to have alot of good reviews, good prices and seems to send it as a 'gift' to help with the taxes which is awesome living in Canada. Now with living in Canada i try to avoid making multiple orders to save on shipping so was planning to order coals a washable hose with this order.

The hose that they got is that healthy hose thing. Was at a hookah lounge awhile ago and they had these plastic hoses which the plastic was pretty thin and just the hose itself was really annoying to use but cant remember who made them. Are these the same type of plastic hoses?

Now with the coals, well be smoking mostly al fahker with the bowl that comes with the mya vortex and a phunnel on occasion. Were probably gona go with the QL's but they offer them in a 33mm and a 40mm size... last thing i want to be doing is cutting each coal because im burning the shisha =/

With the coconut coals they they offer, they say there easy lightning but it also says there %100 natural. Are they nat coals for a burner or are they just %100 natural coconut QL's

Are these coals any good? cant find to much info on them besides a random review i found on google which said they liked them quite abit.

Thanks for the help

yay I can finally be of help. wink.gif

I use AF coco's because my local place stocks them, for a good price. They are not QL's they will need to be lit with either a Butane Torch (not a torch lighter), Stove or those portable one's. When lighting these coals you want to let them cook till the outside is pretty much all Grey... If you cook them halfway they tend to go out and become an annoyance but once you get over that they work pretty good.

as for the hose...I don't really know but that seems like a good price for a washable...but calling it a healthy hose and it being made of plastic ... any heat on plastic which is then breathed in is not that good for you..but considering how were smoking Tobacco I think that can be overlooked : p Three bucks for the hose sounds like a good deal...and it's washable so I don't think you can really go wrong...and if you don't like it ...you know not to buy that one again but it seems for the price you wouldn't be to dissapointed if it turned out to be a junk hose... IDK.. Hope I've helped ^.^

OH I've also used the AF QL's when you scroll down...they work but eh there not my Forte...once I tried non QL's I feel like I can't go back...to QL's even though they are super easy to light...

when i ordered my hookah from them it was supposed to come with a few 50g packs of tobacco but the lady said they have been having trouble getting tobacco in to canada so i substituted it with coconut coals instead. just be careful if you decide to order from them.

The healthy hoses are the same as the washables on AF site, very inexpensive and were designed to be a disposable model for lounges. The hookahs second tray fits between the stem and the base, Syrian hookahs sometimes do this and it can be useful to put tips, tongs, or miss. junk there.. like your keys. AF site is a reputable vendor and sure they can answer any question if you call.

Ive used the Healthy hoses a few times. The pull on the is pretty hard because the tubing is so thin. Its like the regular mya hoses but a bit harder on the pull.

The AF coconut coals are pretty decent but not better than Coconara's. They light up easier than Coconara's but they ash fast. The duration on them is not as good as Coconara, Exotica or even Golden quick lights. But for the price, its a decent coal I would consider buying if I were super broke or owned a lounge. I received a free roll of 33mm AF quicklight coals when I purchased my AF Solid 24" from them. They are low end QL's IMO because they break apart so easily. They ash very fast and when it comes to that time where you shave the ashes off, it breaks into multiple pieces while you hold it with the tongs. Now you got broken pieces all over your floor and ash tray. My conclusion is the only Al Fakher products I continue to purchase is their shisha and maybe coconut coals.

Thanks for the responses guys, looks like i might end up having to make two orders. They got great specials with the shisha but i really dont want to spend that much money and get the same kind of coals i can buy locally that just fall apart.

Every time i make a order i end up having issues picking the coals. So Coconaras would be real good natural coals right? what would be some higher end QL's? All we have locally are the ones most of you described that just fall apart, especially when you try to ash them.

EDIT: and with the hose i think i'm probably going to pass, even though its only 3 bucks it sounds exactly like the ones that i used a few times that this one lounge in the city uses, horrible hoses in my opinion. With the plastic being so thin yet rigid it always seems to be in the way or curling up into the air or something. Hard to describe in words. Doesn't drape like a soft hose would i guess you could say? Edited by Vladimer

So looking around i found out they got a deal at hookah-shisha.com for a free hookah. The al fahker stuff is abit more but they got a bigger selection and they got more coals too which means i dont have to make multiple orders which is good since i added a few things to the basket and shipping was at 50 bucks =/

now i figured i'd get a 108pc box of the coco's and box of 3 kings 33mm? I havent tried the 3 kings but i've heard better things about them then the others they offer.

Options on the site for QL are..

Golden 33mm
Golden 40mm
Three Kings 33mm
Three Kings 40mm
Exotica
Silver flint
