yep, japs in general tend to work better. but coconut coals(ch and coconaras) will get the job done.

how much better will the difference be compared to ch and coco's? i mean is it worth spending $15 just for 1 brand of shisha and then using coco's and ch? i understand what your thinking, why use 3 different brands of coals and not just stick with canaries, reason is because i heard they dont last long..about 25-30 minutes each coal..and it would put me in the poor house if i used canaries all the time..

They've lasted longer than that for me, but I'm not hitting the hookah every second either. And thats with 2-3 ppl smoking. Mine usually last around 40 min or so. I usually use coconut coals, but try to have some canaries for OG Tangiers. For Lucid, coconut coals work better anyways, at least for me.

i would say it will be a little better. with goldens the bowl is always perfect. smoke, flavor, smoothness. its easir to manage. but this is just for the OG tangiers. never tried it on lucid.

i think the reason these work so damn good for tangiers is the way you smoke noir. these coals just heat the tightly packed, heat sensitive shisha better. i dont know the physics, but they work.

now since you smoke lucid NoB, i doubt this will make much of a differnce. lucid dosent "require" the special treatment to put out. you just say "hey baby", and shes spreading her lid.

in other shisha that are not tangiers OG, golden canarys ARE NOT woth the xtra $$. just use johns ch nats.

oh yea, and ryno is right, 25-30. nope more like 40-45. slightly less than johns nats. Edited December 6, 2009 by Jacob Shock
