Any Good Pipe Flavors?

I've tried searching on this with poor results.

I did find that Nakhla and Al Fakher both have pipe flavors, but the one review I found in our reviews section said that AF was horribly disappointing. Coupling that to the fact that I fail at Nakhla (coughing up a storm, whether packed by me, or at any of the local lounges) leads me to asking here.

I smoke a briar pipe every once in awhile, but tend to notice that it makes my tongue kind of raw. I rarely get this from hookah, so I'm looking to combine the two for an optimal session.

Any suggestions for a good brand to try?

Pipe
Soft Black

I know Hookah John loves the Soft Black.

Haven't tried any personally.

Although I have both Zags at home.

I prefer Zag to Soft Black.

AF Pipe was largely disappointing. When I opened it up, it smelled more like cafe latte than anything else. After you smell it for a little bit, you can pick up a bit of a pipe flavor but not much. It smokes like ass. No distinguishable flavor whatsoever, and AF's newer, finer cut made it like smoking soaked sawdust. I ended up tossing the bowl after about ten minutes.

Havana has a pipe flavor. I would stick with Af Soft Black.

I still have yet to stumble upon a good pipe tobacco flavor but I would try zag its traditional tobacco.

Af soft black is the only one I have tried. It was pretty good, very smooth. Not a flavor I would buy a lot of though.

A couple people I know have successfully created their own from pipe tobacco by adding the glycerin and honey. One friend raved about his hazelnut he created from hazelnut flavored tobacco from a pipe/tobacco specialty store. I have no idea how it's done though. I've never tried to make my own shisha. Maybe try the "do it yourself" section and use your favorite pipe tobacco.

I suggest mixing nakhla zaghoul 50/50 with nakhla vanillia very delicious

I'll have to do some running around this weekend and see what I can find from some of the shops around here. I've seen some of the flavors mentioned. Will report back.
