bradleyclark86
Hope this isn't a repost. I searched but didn't find anything...even in the reviews area. I came across a site called alibaba.com that offers some beautiful hookahs. I've seen some other people on here post links to pictures on the site. I was just wondering if anyone has ordered off of there? What was the service like? All that good jazz. I hope it's legit. Found some hookahs on there I'd be afraid to smoke from...decoration-only material haha.
spectrum055
Now I don't know I read this right but it looks like a wholesaler .... so you have to buy a bunch at once? it says Min. Order Quantity for each hookah...so I found one but it looks like you have to buy 60 of the same pipe....IDK that's what I got from it.. BTW Check out this one http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/271129540/hookah.html
Stuie
I think it's more of portal site. Kinda like what amazon has turned into. You buy from them but it comes from someone else. But I may be wrong.
Zinite
It's not a vendor. It is a database of wholesalers
nars2k
Alibaba isn't a vendor. Its how you can get conected with the Chinese manufactures, who usually have a minimum order requirment of anything.
yes and no. alibaba is a listing of wholesalers and manufacturers from around the world, not just china. almost none of the companies listed with them will sell to the end user/consumer. TiLLooR
I studied this site the other day in class, it was really interesting but as its already been said its basically the social networking site of manufacturers kind.
bradleyclark86
Damn...what a shame. Still a great site to look at though. Some beautiful works of art...and some you couldn't pay me to smoke from haha.
Sorry i use every excuse to use this even though I don't believe this is actually a re-post That said its like amazon for manufacturers as Stuie said but without a reliable rating system and most of the vendors on there do have minimum order requirements but.... A lot of vendors on there are counterfeiters, http://www.responsemagazine.com/resources/legal-resources/legal-review-how-handle-counterfeiters-alibabacom-804 or in either case less than reputable to say the least If you set it to search for USA company's only then maybe because you might have some legal recourse but if you don't have a recommendation from someone you know then i would really consider pursuing other avenues. There have been many reports on them just google alibaba reviews or reports ect.
bradleyclark86
Well I noticed that you can (supposedly) filter down by manufacturing area; like Egypt and Iran are some options and have the most tempting products. If you select China, the obvious knock-offs come up though.
Codename067
They are legit, but they only sell in 10's and 100's of products at once. You can not buy one hookah or one flavor.
JOE
some vendors allow single item sales, just look through, you can find some good deals on imported goods.
