Tangiers juicy peach and Apricot reviews

Recommended Posts

To begin with, these were my first experiences with tangiers tobacco. Tangiers if you dont know is a dark tobacco made with black molasses. Its stronger and has a darker flavor that any other brand of tobacco ive smoked. Kind of a hint of a toasted chocolatey tobacco flavor in the background of the smoke which i assume is from the unique molasses base as well as the high quality tobacco used. It is not dyed, but rather gets the black color from the black molasses. It has  a unique cut in that there are large leaf pieces that are not chopped into small bits like all the other brands ive tried. For both of these reviews my setup was a 22" egyptian from socialsmoke with a standard clay bowl and a cobra hose, aluminum foil, 1 33mm 3kings coal, and ice water in the base. now that thats out of the way lets get reviewing.Tangiers Juicy Peach:Cut/Appearance: standard tangiers big fluffy leaves of tobacco with plenty of thick juice in the bottom of the container, which i of course mixed up and acclimated for 4 hours before smoking. this stuff is black, so black that when youve finished smoking you have no idea if unsmoked shisha is still left at the bottom. Smell of unsmoked shisha: its what i would imagine a burnt peach would smell like. strong peach scents with a juicy hint as well as a dark toasted cavendish smell. smells like a tobacco product, which many brands do not. to be honest not at all what i expected, but very pleasant nonetheless.smoke: by moving the coal slowly around the edges of the bowl, i produced thick clouds of creamy white smoke. very flavorful smoke, though if not managed tends to get harsh quickly. use alot less coal than you usually do. sometimes ill break a 33mm in half and put one half on each side of the bowl. yields good results.flavor: there is no doubt why it is named juicy peach. luscious ripe peach flavors are well complemented by the dark caramel flavor that is produced by the molasses. there is no doubt that tobacco flavors are present, like a good pipe tobacco flavor at the back of the tongue but with the peach wrapping like silk around the front of the mouth. man this is good stuff. If you are looking for a candy sweet peach or dont like the flavor of tobacco itself look elsewhere. this is a peach for grownups. mmm.session length: man it wont stop. ive smoked this bowl for a good hour and a quarter and the flavor keeps coming like its a fresh bowl. you get alot of smoke time for your money. at an hour and a half it tasted burnt through but still tasty, i stopped nevertheless.Buzz: nakhlaesque buzz, strong and relaxing. like a swedish massage for the souloverall: this isnt a begginner tobacco but its delicious, smokes great, and is completely unique. a note about tangiers. heat management is key and this stuff is finicky. if you want a low maintenance smoke get another brand. but if youre willing to baby it you will get one of the best overall smokes possible. i will definately order much more from him. Score: 9 out of 10 The peach could have been a little stronger and the buzz can get intense if you have too much smoke.Tangiers Apricot:Cut/Appearance: standard tangiers cut. very fluffy and juicy. even darker than juicy peach. like a cancerous black hole you cannot escape but dont particularly want to.Smell of unsmoked shisha: very subtle smell not nearly as strong as the juicy peach was. smells like roasted apricots with just the barest hint of a floral scent mingling with the same black cavendish sort of odor. very pleasant indeed. makes my mouth water.Smoke: man he has tobacco making down to an art. beautiful puffy clouds and so silky on the tongue. very easy to smoke so long as you have it going right. again a bit finicky with heat management but having smoked around 5 bowls of tangiers by now im getting the hang of it.flavor: not your average apricot. its dark and mysterious like a midnight walk through a roasted field of apricots with a good handful of smoky black cavendish pipe tobacco hitting the palate for a creamy aftertaste. I smoked this back to back with havana apricot (my now co-favorite apricot, former favorite before this one.) If you are looking for an uncommon approach to apricot that nevertheless captures all you love about apricot and adds in that je ne sais quoi that makes tangiers unique, then this should be in your next order. man it makes my mouth water just thinking about it, and smoking it is like... anyways we'll talk about that when youre older.Session length: damn i smoked this for an hour and a half and the flavor never quit or even changed. very very well made indeed.Buzz: buzz isnt the right word because i didnt really get one. however i did get that full body relaxation that makes the world feel more peaceful and makes the session truly enjoyable. wonderful stuff.overall: i consider myself a connoiseur of apricot tobacco. Its my favorite flavor and the flavor i judge brands by. If they cant produce a decent apricot then im unlikely to order from them. coming into these sessions i was positive my favorite apricot was havana's but as i mentioned earlier, this is my new co-favorite. I wouldnt say its better than havana's but rather a completely different approach to it. Its as if both companies envisioned a near perfect apricot flavor and took two opposite roads to get there. If youre looking for straight apricot get havana, if you want something different but still with that wonderful apricot flavor get this.Score: 9.5 out of 10 couldnt have gotten much better but perhaps a tad more of that tangy apricot flavor would have pushed it up into perfection. but if you like apricot you need this.what scores mean.0-5= wanna trade? no? ok you can have it then6-7= ill smoke it when the good stuff runs out8-9= if you like the flavor then definately try it9-10= havent you ordered yet?hope these help.

Thats what I love about Tangiers. The flavor is excellent and you can smoke a bowl of Tangiers for a LONG time at it still smokes great. I gotta get some apricot I really like peach and apricot flavors. Good reviews!

Cola flavor is a big loser right now...I shelved that project temporarily...the problem is the caramel color factor, root beer contains it, which sticks to the pipes and screws up the cola flavor. You need money? In the before times, Mushy used to give "his $.02". maybe you can ask him for that. Maybe just a loan.
