Considering that it's 3 hrs long, it is a very good video. Everybody needs to check out that one. I have quite the collection of political documentaries also, however the four you mentioned aren't in it. I think the Ghosts of Abu Ghraib is in there, but I'm not sure. The name is very familiar though.
Bulldog_916
I like a lot of History Channel stuff. Most recently the whole UFO Hunters and Mystery and Monsterquest thing has grasped some attention from me. Mostly because they use science to try and prove or disprove the incident in question. I like Discovery for Mythbusters/Ghost Lab/Unsolved History or anything war related.

wayfarinstranger
What about Errol Morris?? Classic documentarian. Check out his first, Gates of Heaven from '78. On the surface it's about a pet cemetary somewhere in CA but it's much more substantive than it sounds. Fog of War consists of interviews he did with Robert McNamara. Also awesome. He does really good social commentary/social history stuff. Hadn't seen Fast, Cheap & Out of Control or Thin Blue Line, but the impression I get is that all his films are classics in the genre. Werner Herzog's films Grizzly Man and Encounters At The End of The World. Herzog is the shiz. Rescue Dawn was awesome by the way...not a documentary, but still.... I'm a sucker for music-related documentaries: The Devil and Daniel Johnston, Hank Williams: Honky Tonk Blues, NO DIRECTION HOME, Be Here to Love Me. My wife and I just saw Soul Power. It follows the music festival headlined by James Brown that was supposed to precede the famous Ali-Foreman "Rumble in The Jungle" fight back in '74. Pretty good..Not the best in terms of a standalone film but it's a great pop culture time capsule from 35 years ago. I need to add Wattstax to my Blockbuster Online queue....It's loosely labeled the "Black Woodstock". The Stax Records artists (Isaac Hayes, Staples Singers, Bar-Kays, Albert King etc.) perform in the L.A. Coliseum for over 100k people some time following the Watts Projects riots. Absolute classic. Some great Richard Pryor cameos as well. Not sure if it was mentioned, but on the topic of war, The War Tapes was really revelatory. The filmmakers gave camcorders to 3 National Guardsmen and they taped their own year-long tours in Iraq. Really eye opening to see their perspective. I know I'm leaving some out. I freaking love this genre.
