c4r80n
Ok it's been a while since I reviewed, and I am feeling lazy so it won't be my awesome video ones. I took advantage of an offering of free pack of romman and a roll of golden QL for every 25 bucks you spend. So I got a sampler pack of raspberry, strawberry, orange, peach, mango, and cocktail (that's including the freebie) and a box of golden QL coals. Plus the 15% discount. They all smell amazing and they all have a side scent to them, best described as how powdered sugar smells.Well I tried the peach first because I hear it's awesome. It did take 2 coals and my windcover to get it going nice and thick. It's very wet tobacco and a couple of the packs kinda leaked and made a bit of a mess, but I transfer them into ziplock bags anyways.SETUP: Mya QT, foil, pinch of tobacco (really really small amount, barely covered the bottom of my mya bowl. guessing 5 grams)The taste was awesome. Very peach-like and sweet with no chemical taste or smell. The smoke was thick and rich, much like i expected. The buzz was a little strong, found myself taking small breaks so I don't get overwelmed. The price is right for the quality of flavor and smoke, and in using such small amounts of tobacco (granted you'll be using twice as much coal.) GRADE: 5 out of 5 (i think i'll start using a 1 to 5 system than 1 to 10 because people still say a flavor is bad and still give it a 5 or 6)P.S. Due to recent accusations, this review is non-biased. I am not affiliated with this company or product. I was not influenced or pursuaded into writting this review. I have been meaning to try romman and now was a good time to buy. It's just really good (the peach so far). More to come.
steve07
Good review, love your disclaimer but romman is still over priced not knocking the tobacco would probally keep it around more if it was cheaper.

zzzzzT
Peach is awesome. For some reason the amount of smoke it makes is amazing. Despite the price this is one flavor I would not pass up. It has a very real peach flavor.
Lukasa
Wait wait wait... how do you get thick smoke without filling your bowl all the way? Do you just use lots of heat? or what? whenever i've packed not-full bowls its made thin barely flavored smoke for just 20 minutes or so, and then its completely charred and spent. c4r80n
well normally I smoke fumari, af, aw, aa, and now romman.I would use two coals at the same time for all brands except romman requires 2 coals AND windcover. but I have been using one coal and a windcover to save coal. I usually only smoke 1 round (not adding another fresh coal) unless I am smoking with someone else which is rare... Also in which I would have added a touch more tobacco. The tobacco gets evenly charred with a bit of moisture on the bottom. Lasted about 30-45 minutes. So in overview, I only smoke for about 45 minutes, use quite a bit of heat, and use a little bit of tobacco. Thick smoke comes from high heat. Just be careful not to let it get harsh.
zzzzzT
I use a wide shallow bowl. I think it gives much better smokes than a deep bowl and you have room to move the coals. You also use less tobacco.
Sonthert
I think that there is an optimal proportion of width to height. Thats what I designed my bowls by. To shallow scorches or tastes ashy...too deep and it draws poorly.
