Arcane
I'm considering buying a Mya Bambino, strictly for the fact that its kinda cute and well.....basically, I don't have one yet. However, I already have my QT. My main consideration is buying a desktop pipe and honestly, I think the QT should fit the bill perfectly. However, the Bambino looks more "at home" on top of a desk...sooo, that's one factor that is swaying my decision. But, in all honesty...is there really any big difference between the QT and Bambino besides appearance? Pull? Cleaning? Function? Stability? Here's the +'s for buying it....and the -'s for not buying it + cute + comes in Maroon (which to me, is basically red) + I don't have it - Its not a KM - Probably going to be another hookah I won't use much - Looks unstable So, if you were in my position...what would you do? Stuie
I love the Bambino, Got 2. It doesn't tip over like some think it will, even with a nammor or KM hose attached. If you are strictly smoking solo with it, it's great.

[/quote] I can't say enough good things about the Petite. I've used it exclusively since I first got it. It's perfect as a smaller hookah. I just want to figure out a mod to use a bigger ash tray. Rani
You know me, over here hatin' Mya, but...... I've seen Bambinos up close in a shop I frequent. Absolutely beautiful, and very stable. Pictures you see do not do them justice. Even I will one day give in and order one. 'Rani
antouwan
i would say there's a big plus with the bambino's in the cleaning department. apparently they're one of the only mya's with a smooth inner stem so it won't completely destroy your brush when you try and clean it. Chreees
I prefer the way the QT looks over the Bambino... But that's just me. I even prefer the Petite. But ya know Jay you gotta make your hookah collection bigger...lol.
Arcane
well, John doesn't carry the Petite...and he's already gone out of his way to get me so much stuff... so, all he really has is the Bambino...how does the pull compare to the QT? my QT tends to produce warmer smoke than my KMs...will the Bambino's be even warmer than the QT? LZ22
Coming from a BAMBINO OWNER MYSELF: This is what I've experienced with it... -Extremely durable. Its fallen off my coffee table many times (about 2 foot drop) to hardwood floor and I was more concerned about the floor breaking. -The stem is very unique. Its received many complements. I think it looks great as decoration as well when its sitting on a dresser or table. -Clouds. For the size of this thing, using a nammor hose I have gotten insanely huge clouds. This thing packs a punch. -Extremely easy setup and cleaning. When you take the stem off the base, its completely open. Its a breeze and takes a couple minutes tops to clean. -Even though its round, its very stable. I have had no tipping problems whatsoever with passing a nammor hose around. -It looks even better in person, I was pleasantly surprised. -I always fill my vases up with a handful of ice, and I have never had a problem with the smoke getting too hot. -Its called the Bambino for a reason -I dont use it much anymore though, I've gotten a new 22in mya that I really like, but the bambino is a good small/personal session piece
momatik
Nothing really I can say that hasn't already been said. I've smoked both a QT and a Bambino before, and for some reason I felt like the QTs draw was better/more smooth. Probably all in my head though. mattarios2
if your qt has a smooth inner pipe, just stick with the qt. If it has the older rough style ... go with a bambino ... they are much easier to clean because they have a smooth inner pipe. Other than that i find there to be no reason to buy a bambino when you have a qt, that is unless you want to expand your collection ... which I know. .. isn't necessary at this stage for you ...now is it ... JAY?!?! hah
Spats
Go for it! Was my first pipe and I still love it. You will need a couple of different bowl gaskets if you stray from the original bowl.

My KM has to sit on floor and watch me from the floor like a dog ...bug my Petite (uTank) is like a cat it's small enough to join me in my bidding's in fact its lit up as I type .. But I think I might invest in a Bambino ... they are really cool looking and I wouldn't mind owning another small one though I think I might go for a Tri-metal ... from HJ first

Arcane
i think the warm smoke actually comes from the stem being heated a lot more than if i smoke with a KM...if you've been on tinychat, you know i smoke with A LOT of heat... maybe that transfers from the bowl and then throughout the stem...i'm not quite sure though... at this point, i don't really see a good enough reason to invest in a hookah that i don't find that particularly attractive or have a use for.....then again, i am who i am...and may end up buying it on impulse one day...it's only $50 anyways... thanks to everyone for their input....
