Early Onset Heart Disease....Have To Stop Smoking :(

Recommended Posts

Well....after several years of enjoyment with my beautiful KM Trimetal, I am forced to give up smoking. As it turns out, my high blood pressure is due to some genetic, early onset heart disease. I knew it ran in the family, and some recent tests have confirmed that I have early signs of heart disease. The big bummer is that I have to give up all the fun stuff....I have to cut out red meats, cheese, fried foods.....pretty much anything with lots of fats, cholesterol, and flavor. It was also recommended that I stop drinking and smoking. Rather than killing myself, I've decided that I just need to bite the bullet and sell off my equipment. If I don't, I know I'll be busting it out, as I'm not the best with the whole self control thing.

I don't know if it is cool or not, but can I post what setup to get an idea of what it is worth? I have hundreds dollars invested, but I don't know what used prices are like, being that a lot of this stuff is older and now uncommon. Maybe the mods can chime in here-

thanks-

Well...right now I am in good health and I will continue to be as long as I follow the rules. The high blood pressure can be managed with diet and exercise. Lots of people are in the same boat I am, and there is no reason that i will ever have any kind of heart issues as long as I live well.

Sorry to hear that, but your live is more important than smoking so good choice. Why dont you search the Trades section to see how much people are selling the same items.

sorry to hear that....i love smoking hookah and nothing would stop me. cardio would become my best friend....just to strengthen my heart so i can keep smoking...

anyways, about the pricing....if you post in the trades sections, you have to have an asking price. i'm not sure if you're allowed to ask how much your set up is worth in this forum though...

I was going to accept offers, but I see you have to set a price. I already searched and don't know what to ask for everything as a package. Hence, the reason I am asking here.

I haven't quite seen a hookah like mine, and I have a bunch of accessories with it.

And yes...it is pink. Always gets a pretty big response from people :D

how old are you?? this is scaring me. i may need to think about quitting myself now after reading this. i have genetic high blood pressure too, I'm already on meds for it. also, how much did you usually smoke? im 23 and i usually smoke like 1-2 bowls a week. so I average probably 2-3 hours of smoking a week maybe. sometimes less, sometimes more.

as far as selling, just post you stuff in the trades at a price you would like to get off them, if its too low, you will sell them quickly, if they are too high, people will let you know pretty fast. like, if you have a KM that you originally bought for $130, and would like to get what you paid, say "$130 or best offer" and then based on the offers you can either accept an offer, or lower you price, or not sell, or whatever you may decide. that would be my suggestion. plus, do you really want the people buying the stuff to tell you what its worth? if i didn't have a conscience, i'd tell you your KM is worth $5 (i wouldn't actually do that)
