Question About Shisha

Recommended Posts

I was looking into purchasing some airtight glass jars and was wondering about how many ounces 250g of shisha would take up, and if candle jars with the rubber gaskets or spice jars would work better.

I've tried searching but cant really seem to find anything, perhaps due to the phrasing I've been using. Thanks for your answers in advance.

I have found that it varies a bit between brand as they are sold by mass and some are more dense than others.
I generally find that 1 pint is a good size which comes out to 16 fluid ounces.

Google is your friend, use it.

It depends on the density of the material. 250g of sand will take up less space than 250g of tobacco leaves which will take up less space than feathers.

Anyways, thanks Jon for your answer.

They all have 250g of mass so they all weigh the same...

Silly people. Shisha has a set weight, but jars are measured by volume.

2 different types of measurement... us silly Americans... ounces for weight, ounces for volume, but they aren't the same.

lol, fixed :P

But yes, Stuie is correct, there are 2 different types of ounces.
"Ounce" is a unit of mass, not to be confused with "Fluid Ounce" which is a unit of volume.
250g cannot be converted into Fluid Ounces without knowing the density of the material.
