Recommended Posts

Tomorrow I am mailing out two cards :)

Nathan Elfrink
2415 Taylor Blair Road
West Jefferson OH 43162
This is Nathan's address.

My long time childhood friend has a very special 7 year old son (Nathan) that is losing his battle with brain cancer and the family has made the decision to not pursue further treatment. This will be his last Christmas and he has one wish ~ to collect a million Christmas cards. Spoken like a true 7 year old boy. Though he may not collect a million, a lot to him will seem like a million. If you would like help make Nathan?s Christmas wish come true, please consider sending a card. I know this will mean a lot to him, as well as his family. Thanks and many blessing to you all. Stephanie J

Unfortunately Snopes says as of yesterday the family requested no more cards be sent because of the overwhelming response. Horrible for the family though, I will definitely say a prayer. Edited by Vladimir

I will say prayer as well.

I know this stuff isn't rare, but maybe I see it more now.

Close friends had their little boy 3 months premature. He is getting better but still in ICU. Momma has been living in the hospital since the birth in Dallas (2.5 hours away from home) and Family will be spending Christmas in the Hospital.

Another friend, their little boy has Rhabdomyosarcoma. He is being flown back and forth from here to NYC for treatment. He has been on the wrong regiment but they have to finish it out before they can start the right one.

Maybe now that I am a father this hits me harder. I use to be, "wow, that's sad." Now I pretty much fight back tears.

To all the Children sick this Holiday season, and their families:

You are not alone, you are loved, and I am praying for you!
