Fumari Lounge?

Recommended Posts

Im taking a trip san diego for a week and a buddy told me to check out the fumari lounge. i didn't see anything on the search regarding the actual lounge it self... so what im wondering is:

-has anyone every been there?
-and if so, is it even worth checking out? im not a fumari fan by any means but I've been told that it is "way cool"...

There's the website to it.
However, anything described as "way cool" sounds like it's a bro hangout...

fumari's lounge is expensive.
Go to Oddessey (Tangiers) Lounge instead.
Spend 5 hours there, repeat 2 more nights.
Fall asleep on Eric's couch and wake up to him standing over you, it's an experience I won't soon forget.

i've been to fumari's many moons ago, from what i recall i wouldn't be back there, it's like a coffee shop environment. there are supposed to be other hookah lounges in SD which hopefully others can chime in about. you have to go to tangiers/oddessey at least once if you are into tangiers, no questions asked. however, if you want some atmoshpere (no offence to tang) you may want to try other lounges as well. i can recommend some in orange county if you guys will be on the road, 1 hour north of SD. call me crazy but i think tangiers needs a stripper pole to liven it up a bit, i'm pretty sure I gave Eric that feedback. Not sure if it's on his list of to dos.
the thing with lounges is what are you looking for exactly. Almost none serve Tangiers, I do know of one in Hacienda Heights though. In SD you must go to Odessey, I can't stress that enough.
If you are a home smoker and picky about your smoke you may not find what you are looking for at a lounge. However, I will go to a lounge to just be out of my back yard. I take my own hose. I feel like the places that cater to younger people serve mainly SB, actually that's almost law in OC. If you want a place that serves Nakhla you may be surrounded by foreign old men. idk, that may be your cup of tea.
i'm starting to ramble and my 2nd cup of coffee is wearing off, someone please tell zthree where else to go.
