Been a while. I've never had El Bash Grape or Mizo Grape, but plan on trying both someday.
My recommendation is that you get to the El Basha Grape as soon as you can. I opened the box last night and the fragrance flooded my entire apartment. It's definitely "new style" Nakla - longish cut and I really like the flavoring. It's gooey rather than drippy. There are surprising layers of scent. If it smokes even a tenth of how good it smells, I'm going to be ordering a couple kilos before Christmas. And I will be smokiing and reviewing it before going to be tonight! Woo hoo! 'Rani
Well, the review will be up soon. But if I have to boil it down to one word..... Exquisite! It's not grape-juice grape. It's more like a gourmet grape with all these lovely overtones. Not floral as someone said here, but more like a Pinot Noir grape is different from a Champagne grape. I have noticed that my cat Kabuki has excellent taste in tobacco. The ones he likes to sniff the clouds of are the absolute best, and he's just spent the last 40 minutes squarely in my lap sniffing every single puff and purring like a machine. It is just so damned good. If the other "new" Nakla is anything like this, then it's going to become one of my favorite brands. 'Rani
the "old" nakhla has always tasted the same as the new nakhla, it's just the more wet it is the "cleaner" and more pronounced the flavor is, if that makes any sense. I guess what I am trying to say is, it has no stale taste that some of the older nakhla stuff had at times. Everything Ive gotten for quite some time now has tasted superb! Enjoy!
