Hookah Bar Music

That's kind of bold to say, considering that I listen to a lot of techno/trance/rave music when I smoke. I fucking despise anything associated with Ed Hardy, especially his "influence" on the tattooing community, but house music is a preference and not something that should be looked down upon.

That would be like me telling you to take your emo crybaby bullshit and take it elsewhere while I'm smoking hookah. It's all about what people like:) And I know quite a few people who like the whole house atmosphere!

But to answer the question, I'd either go with what I said previously, or just a genuine mix of different styles that encompasses every genre except country.

Ya this the music I like. I think we get too much in the relaxing hookah vibe. But like you said it really is what people like. I havnt been to too many hookah bars where people actually listened to relaxing music. Usually rap. And pop. Maybe your just saying what someone told you to say. But I think if you watch a hookah bar they don't listen to relaxing music. I try to get Bosa nova played...noone does it. The real reason so many people say Hookah music is all about relaxing is i think hookah bar owners get so lazy they don't go try to make an envoiorment at their Hookah bar.

Now with regards to Ed hardy. I can say i always know who doesnt know what their talking about by how severly they reject something without knowing anything about it. hell ya its too expensive for me. But I have friends who smoke it and the hookahs are enjoyable. The only problum I have is How it can be taken apart and taken with you. doesnt that hurt a hookah.

But where i like Ed hardy is it is a great looking beautiful hookah. i want more beauty. And i want art in hookah smoking.

Honestly I hated on hardy. has anyone actually had the tobacco? Or do you always form your oppinions based on nothing? And you hate his influence on tatooing. Come on.

Plus everyday there is different music. There is somedays they go brazilian, others club music and rock. But it just shows that alot of people here arnt fully honest. Cause honesty would just admit you dont know anything. You formed an oppinion of different hookah companies based on no knowledge or personal interests. For instance if the Tobacco smells bad it smells like shit like starbuzz. meanwhile most Hookah smokers smoke starbuzz. next people say ed hardy is starbuzz. Which its not. But then you call ed hardy shit. So no matter what...even though ive tasted ed hardy and love it. You dont care. not because you actually understand hookah culture but because you dont.

I will agree that island music is the best. but not cheezy but more brazilian samba or bosa nova

I think the price point is what people object to. Somebody was trying to wholesale Al Majlis several years ago at $120/Kg. Their sales didn't go very well and it is very good tobacco. Excellent in fact. I think people have a conception that tobacco made by Starbuzz for Ed Hardy is going to be similar in quality, so they don't see why the high price tag is justified. If you guys who are giving the Ed Hardy line a hard time disagree, chime in. These guys are part of the hookah culture, so I would imagine that they know just as much about hookah culture as you do, saying they don't know anything isn't going to make a great impression. They might even know more. Its hard to say.

Then they should have chosen a way to market tobacco and herbal products without catering to Jon and Kate + 8 fans.

HAHA no im definitly not saying people know less about hookah culture. But if your gonna tell me ed hardy is crap, and then never smoke it and thern say i shouldn't even link to the company...people who love hookah try hookah products. Now im really confused. You said it was starbuzz tobacco. its not. its better in my oppinion. Its funny how negitive this hookah forum is. I mean people should never talk to eachother like this. I know at the Hookah bar we relax, smoke different types of tobacco. I mean it was just a play list. You probabaly know more about making a hookah, but about aproaching hookah and appreciating it this site just seems os angry.

I think its a far reach to say that your cheap if you dont buy these coals. But I also think that a seccure company that isnt hidden in some guys house can gurentee more safety because if ed hardy sells you bad coals, you know them and their easily punishable unlike how some hookah bars buy anything to save. I want hookah bars to spend because it is a safe investment for their customers.

That wasn't him saying that Ed Hardy is 'like' Starbuzz. It IS Starbuzz. It's made by Starbuzz. It is a Starbuzz can with a different label on it. That's not me being negative, that's me stating fact.

For the record, call714 works with SB and Ed hardy. He apparently runs their Ed Hardy Tobacco Blog. This explains why HE thinks it's all worth it. More to come.
