What's wrong with everyone saying to throw it away or trash it?

You guys are crazy!

There are multiple fine suggestions in this thread regarding your problem.

I once had that problem and I used a lot of lemon juice [Get an actual lemon, squeeze it, and throughly wash the hookah], then proceed to using Vodka.

That did it for me.

Just wash it real good dude. The hose will probably be trash, so make them buy you a new hose.

Wow, the over reactions in this thread are mind blowing. Throw it away? Don't be stupid. Stem and vase are metal and glass, and some combination of solvents will get them clean. An unglazed bowl and a hose might have faint traces after a few days, but if it gets your panties in a bunch, then have your buddy buy you new ones, and give him those, as he has just paid for them. He can use them on his new cheap chinese pipe that he will buy so as not to "defile" yours again.

For those threatening death or beatings, get a grip on life and chill out. Casually espousing that much hate and violence solves nothing, and only makes small problems into big ones. Y'all sound like a bunch of insecure teenagers.

by making it "safe" ppl are referring to getting all residue out so that

1 if a cop gets overly "piggiefied" and test it it wont show (dont get me wrong I love cops they are here to protect me and you and thats what 99% of them do and they deserve our respect. its the 1% only that I call pigs.)
and
2 to make sure nothing in it can get into you. (smoke from a pipe with residue in it and you will test positive for it even if all you were smoking is tobacco) this is for testing reasons in most ppls minds be it for jobs or school. altho im sure a few dont want it in them regardless of the fear of testing or not.

the hookah itself can be cleaned so this is not an issue but the bowl will always have the residue in it (even if the bowl is glazed on the outside the inside usually is not and will still absorb it.) the hose if not washable will always have it in it and if it is washable theres a % of a chance that it wont come clean.

Now as for CLR, will that get the residue out too? Sooo... if by any chance, like charley said, the cops wanna do a field test, there won't be any chance of me getting busted for NHT? Or should I keep this pipe at home?

It's washable... Luckily. I'll get on the everclear thing, but it'll be a little tough because I'm only 20... So i'll see what happens.





As most of you can tell, I've simmered down a bit.
I talked to my friend and told him that he's going to have to get me a new bowl and hose. He said he'll get me another pipe. That's fine by me!
He said it was spur of the moment. They were already smoking NHT and they walked into his room where I left it. They saw it and I guess they just couldn't resist.

Has anyone ever tried Nature's Miracle? They sell this at pet shops and targets/walmarts. It's an enzyme cleaner, won't harm your hoses or metal and breaks down the smell of NHT's. It breaks down any organic smells, including NHT. My neighbor owns a car detailing shop and he uses this stuff on car seats and car interiors of people who tend to do illegal things in their cars. Spray it on and in your hookah and hoses and let it sit for about 10 minutes then rinse it out. Quick N Brite soaking solution works also- yes the stuff on television.

I know that a lot of people are saying the whole setup is ruined, but I'm not sure that's the case... wait, what's that formula again? Oh yeah: NHT + Hookah = your life is ruined. Yup, your life is over... cops are on their way to your house to destroy the hookah (in front of you) and then destroy you. Then they're going to sit there and smoke Hookah-Hookah out of your skull. Status report.
I let it soak in lemon water after rinsing it out with cheap vodka. The smells gone, however I haven't smoked it.
I'll let it soak a bit more.
