Scrappydoo
SO, some of the stuff my friends brought me from Dubai is El Basha. (Yeah, I know it's from Egypt but they said it was really cheap!) I noticed that some of the packages say "extra lights" on it. They are all manfuctured in October, November 2009. Not all, but some. I can't read arabic so I can't tell much more. Are they making two kinds or is this just a marketing ploy? Anyone know? I am smoking the grape now and it is lighter in flavor than I remember, small buzz but pretty good smoke. I am not familiar with El Basha enough to know.
mattarios2
used to be washed, but it is no longer washed so I don't know what they mean by "ultra lights" It used to be .05% but now the boxes I have been receiving for the past month or so say .5%
i have never seen a production date on any nakhla box I have ever purchased, and it is pretty much all I smoke. Not saying there is no such thing, but I personally have never seen expiration/production dates on nakhla boxes. So to answer your question, I have no idea. Rani
I recently bought both El Basha Grape and El Basha Caramel from John. Both said "ultra light" on the box and both said .5% nicotine. I'm thinking that the "light" phrase is more of a flavor statement because both are very, very smooth. In my Caramel review I compared the first taste to the finest Cavendish pipe tobacco. So it well could be they're using a more mild tobacco base. Either way, if all the El Basha line is this good, I'm going to be bugging the hell out of John to carry every one of them. Right now he has only the Grape and Caramel. 'Rani
